    William (Bill) Foreman

    Ayr native and life long resident George William (Bill) Foreman died suddenly at his home on Hall Street on Wednesday, September 8, 1999. Bill was in his 67th year. He was a son of the late Bertha Ann Williams and Robert Blake Foreman. Prior to his retirement he was an employee for many years with Babcock & Wilcox. He will be missed by his wife, Amelia Turkington; his daughter, Heather of Ayr; sons, Brian and his wife Dianne of Kitchener, Bruce and his wife Tania and Gerry and his wife Rhonda, all of Ayr; grandchildren, Lindsay, Blake and Bradley; sisters, Doris Pickersgill of Cambridge, Marjery and her husband Ivan Lisso of Paris and by brother, Jack of Kamloops, B.C. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sisters Helen Gaines, Jean Groggins and Ruth McEwen. Funeral service was held at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home on Friday, September 10 at 1: 30 p.m. Reverend Fred Hagle of Knox United Church officiated. Interment was in Ayr Cemetery.

    FOREMAN, Amelia (nee Turkington) - Suddenly at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Friday, February 10, 2006, of Ayr, in her 78th year. Beloved wife of the late Bill (1999). Loved mother to Brian (Dianne) of Kitchener, Heather (friend Kim), Bruce (Tania), and Gerry (Rhonda), all of Ayr; cherished grandmother to Lindsay, Blake, Bradley, and Liam; dear sister to Anna Lewis, Gideon Turkington (Wilma), Sheila Usher (Bob), Shirley Benson (George) and David (Marlene). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Victor and Agnes Turkington, and sisters Vicki and Joyce. Friends may call at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 183 Northumberland St, Ayr, on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fred Hagle of Knox United Church officiating.     Robert Blake Foreman Passes

    Robert Blake foreman of Colquhoun Street, Ayr, died Wednesday, July 24, 1968, at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital in his 84th year. Born at Bright Ontario, on July 4, 1885, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William foreman. Mr. Foreman lived in Bright in his younger days and had been a resident of Ayr for the past 50 years. He worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway as a section hand for more than 40 years, retiring in ?. He was an adherent of Knox United Church. Mr. Foreman was survived by his wife, the former Bertha Williams; four daughters, Mrs. Norman (Jean) Groggins of Staples, Mrs. Max (Doris) Pickersgill of Brantford, Miss Ruth Foreman and Mrs. Erwin (Marjorie) Lisso of Ayr, two sons, William of Ayr and Robert in British Columbia and one brother, James of Bright. There are 27 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Helen, two brothers, and three sisters.

    The funeral

    Funeral service was held from Coutts & Son Funeral Home, Galt, on Saturday with Mr. Elvy of the Jehovah's Witnesses, Kitchener, officiating. Burial was made in ther Ayr Cemetery. Pallbearers were Leslie McDonald, Robert Barrie, Charles Legere, James Lewis, Russell Eaton and William Hall.
