    Lichty, Eunice Barbara, daughter of Daniel and Adeline Kennell, died on July 28, 1986. She was married to Arthur Lichty, who survives. Also surviving are 4 sons (Gordon, Clifton, Chester, and Brad), one daughter (Char- Mrs. Murray Weber), and 8 grandchildren. She was a member of First Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on July 31, in charge of Brice Balmer; interment in First Mennonite Cemetery.

    Daniel Kennel

    Daniel Kennel, 61 years, of 97 Cameron St. North, died at his residence last night following a lengthy illness. Born in Wellesley Township, June 11, 1891, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian Kennel. Mr. Kennel was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener. He is survived by his wife, the former Adeline Ropp, who he married March 1920, in Emily City, Mich.; one daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Eunice) Lichty of Kitchener; six sisters, Miss Mattie Kennel and Mrs. Samuel Lehman of Castorland, N.Y., Mrs. John Jutzi of Kitchener, Mrs. Emmanuel Steinman of New Hamburg, Mrs. Minetta Erb of Millbank and Mrs. Ervin Ropp of Port Austin, Mich. Two grandchildren also survive. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until 1 p.m. Monday when removal will be made to the First Mennonite Church for the funeral at 3 p.m. Burial will take place in the adjoining cemetery. Bishop C.F. Derstine, pastor, will officiate

    CHRISTIAN A. KENNELL

    CROSSHILL, May 20. Christian A. Kennel, passed away last evening at his home, one mile south of Crosshill, after an illness of one month, at the age of 71. He was married to Barbara Schragg 50 years ago, the two celebrating their anniversary last September.

    Surviving, are his widow, one son, Dan of Victoriaburg, six daughters, Mrs. Sam Lehman, Castor Land, N. Y., Mrs. John Jutzi, Victoriaburg. Mrs. Emanuel Steinman, New Hamburg, Mrs. Sam Erb, Crosshill, Mrs. Irvin Ropt, Detroit, and Mattie at home, one brother, Joseph Kennel, Wellesley, three sisters, Mrs. John Lehman, Groghon, N. Y., Mrs. Peter Yousei, Croghon, N. Y., Mrs. John Bast, Windsor, and 22 grandchildren.
    The funeral will be held from his late residence on Sunday to Maple View Amish church, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

In his youth he accepted Christ and united with the Mennonite Church, of which he remained a faithful member throughout his life. Funeral services were held Oct. 12 at the Pigeon River Church, Pigeon, Mich., in charge of Frank Raber and Emanuel Swartzendruber. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.

    (Albrecht) Ropp was born in Wellesley, Ont., March 13, 1863; passed away in her home in Detroit, Mich., Jan. 5, 1944; aged 80 y. 9 m. 22 d. On Feb. 5, 1885, she was united in marriage to Joseph Ropp of Wellesley, Ont. To this union were born 10 children of which 3 sons (David, Mose, and Edwin) preceded her in death. Those remaining to mourn her departure are: Dan, Owendale, Mich.; Anna Dean, Dearborn, Mich.; Lead Ackerman, Elkton, Mich.; Adeline Kennel, Petersburg, Ont.; Emanuel, Bad Axe, Mich.; William, Detroit, Mich.; Ervin, Dearborn, Mich.; also her hus-band, as well as 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and many friends. Grandma united with the Mennonite Church at the age of 16 and was a faithful member until death. She and her aged husband lived together for many years, having celebrated their golden anniversary almost 9 years ago. Her sudden death, which came with but little warning perhaps will exaggerate the loneliness which her husband will experience, but as Christians we can always be comforted with the presence of the Lord. In Christ we have the promise and the hope of being at home in joy and peace. Funeral services were held at the home by Pre. Frank Raber and at the Pigeon River Church by Bros. Edwin Albrecht and Emanuel Swartzendruber. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
