RUDDY, Sophia Passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, March 28, 2010, at age 64. Beloved wife of Raymond Ruddy. Loving mother of Raymond Ruddy Jr. (Rose), Kim Kelly (Andy) and Kathleen Hilgartner (John). Dearly loved grandmother of Mike and Sarah Veilleux, Alex and Aaron Ruddy, Nicholas and Cassidy Hilgartner. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Christa Szalanski. Sofia will also be sadly missed by her twin sister Nina Caron, Mary Boutis (Peter) and brothers Ted Szalanski and Frank Szalanski Jr., many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. At Sofia's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. SZALANSKI, Frank Of 155 Beck St., Cambridge, Monday Feb. 16, 1981, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 67th year.

Beloved husband of Christa Lestner; dear father of Ted of Quebec, Frank Jr. of Cambridge, Sofia (Mrs.. Raymond Ruddy), Janina (Mrs. Clement Caron) of Cambridge, and Mrs. Maria Doyle of Nova Scotia. Also survived by eight grandchildren.

Mr. Szalanski was born in Warsaw, Poland and had resided in Preston for 30 years from West Germany. He retired from the Appleton Electric Limited of Cambridge.

Resting at the Barthel- Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, until Thursday morning, then to St. Clement's Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Private interment.

The rosary will be recited t the funeral home, Wednesday at 8 p.m. 20

Loving mother of Sofia (Ray) Ruddy, Nina Caron and Frank all of Cambridge, Mary (Peter) Boutsis of Kos, Greece and Ted of Cornwall. Sadly missed by 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
