Notes:

The storm which broke on Calgary yesterday was acknowledged by many to be the fiercest they had ever witnessed. Now that full knowledge of the damage done has been gathered up, it is found that the toll is very heavy in damage to property and interruption to business, and that there has also been loss of life.

Paul Mueller, 18 years old, who was in the employ of Arthur Chamberlain, at Bonnybrook, East Calgary, was sitting in the dining room of Mr. Chamberlain's house at the time of the heaviest storm, 1:30. Six members of the family and Nurse Graham, a visitor, were also present. A stroke of lightning pierced the house, breaking a number of windows and doing other damage. Mueller was the only one of the party not to jump when the flash came. This was noticed by the nurse. It was found that Mueller had been instantly killed. His father, who lives at Didsbury, arrived on last night's train to make the funeral arrangements.
