    Notes:

    Man Killed at Berlin

On Tuesday evening, the Galt train arriving in Berlin at 6: 30 ran into a wagon on the Queen street crossing in Berlin, near Graffs Flour mill, killing the driver. It appears that the unfortunate man whose name was George Hollinger, was returning from New Hamburg, where he had been with a load of barrels and was caught by the train on the crossing. The horses had cleared the track, but the wagon, which had a long rack, was struck about the centre and was carried with the deceased, for about one hundred yards, when it was thrown to one side. When the train was stopped Hollinger was found to be dead. He was about 65 years of age and leaves a wife and several children.
