    Notes:

JACOB MOHR. SUPERINTENDENT OF ROCHESTER BUTTON CO.

The subject of this sketch is one of the "Old Boys" of Berlin who attained usefulness and success in the States. While Berlin is a century old, Mr. Jacob Mohr has just reached the half century mark. Mr. Mohr has spent the greater part of his life in Berlin, and before leaving here, he obtained experience and training which determined his life's work. For sixteen years (1883 to 1899) Mr. Mohr was engaged in the button business here. In 1899 he removed to Buffalo, N. Y., where he continued to make buttons for several years. From 1903 to the present time, Mr. Mohr has been in Rochester, N, Y., which is now the button center of the United States. Mr. Mohr is Superintendent of the factory of the Rochester Button Company. This is said to be the largest button factory in the world. It is a modern factory, finely equipped in every way.
Mr. Mohr is to be congratulated on account of his connection with such an enterprise, and also for the success he has attained. The interest shown by Mr. Mohr in "Old Home Week" and the Centennial Celebration is an indication that he has not forgotten the place in which so many years of his life were spent.
