    STECKLY, Mabel Peacefully to her eternal home, on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Nithview Home, New Hamburg, Mabel (nee Jantzi) in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Andy Steckly (2001). Loving mother of Sharon Horst of Baden, Donna Nafziger (Rick) of Wellesley, Gary Steckly (Deborah) of Carlton Place, foster mother of Robert Edwards of New Hamburg and predeceased by her daughter Diane Steckly R.N. (1999). Dear grandmother of Eric, Evan, Luke, Sara, Hayley, Jessica, John, Allison and her 6 great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her brother Lloyd Jantzi (Ruth), sister Norma Steckly (Art) and sister-in-law Barbara Jantzi. Predeceased by her brother Ralph Jantzi, her Steckly in-laws Ernie and Betz Steckly, Daniel and Edna McQueen, Norman and Beatrice Leis as well as her parents Aaron Jantzi and Sarah Leis. Mabel was an active and faithful member of Wellesley Mennonite Church where she used her gift of music, serving as a song leader and pianist. Friends may call at Wellesley Mennonite Church, 157 David Street, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the church on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2 p.m. Pastors Kara Carter and Joshua Penfold officiating.     STECKLY, John J. -- Peacefully on Friday, March 20, at The Maples Home for Seniors, Tavistock, John J. Steckly, formerly of Shakespeare and Wellesley. John was born in Morningside township, 95 years ago. he was the son of the late Joseph Steckly and the late Lydia Jantzi. He was a member of Maple Grove Mennonite Church, and was a carpenter and cabinet maker in the Shakespeare district, retiring in 1965. Beloved father of Ernest and his wife Mabel. Arthur and his wife Norma, Beatrice (Mrs. Norman Leis), all of Wellesley and Edns (Mrs. Daniel MacQueen) of Cambridge, dear brother of Johnathan Steckly of The Maples Home For Seniors, Tavistock and Mary (Mrs. Gordon Albrecht) of Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton. Lovingly remembered by 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Annie Zehr, December 20, 1980 and also four brothers, three sisters, and one granddaughter, Mary Ann. Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley, where the family will receive friends this evening, 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 1 p.m. Monday, March 23, removal will be made to the 16th Line East Zorra Mennonite Church for the service at 3 p.m. Rev. Oliver Yantzi will officiate. Interment will follow in the 16th line Zorra Mennonite cemetery.

    JANTZI, Aaron W. -- Passed away on Sunday, August 31, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener.

    He was born in Wilmot township 82 years ago. He was the founder of Wellesley brand apple butter and cider products. He also operated the Wellesley Lumber Mill from 1935 to 1944 and was the operator of the John Deere dealership in Wellesley.

    He is survived by his wife, the former Sarah Leis and two sons, Lloyd and Ralph; two daughters, Mabel (Mrs. Andrew Steckly) and Norma (Mrs. Arthur Steckly), all of Wellesley; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Christian B. Jantzi and the former Barbara Wagler; also by one brother and one sister.

    The late Mr. Jantzi is resting at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home in Wellesley until noon on Wednesday when removal will be made to Maple View Mennonite Church for a memorial service 2 p.m. Rev. Elmer Schwartzentruber will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    PINE HILL. Dec 26 - Christian B. Jantzi, age 74. died suddenly at his home in Wilmot Centre on Sunday. Deceased was a pioneer resident of Wilmot township He was born and raised on the Jantzi homestead.

    Surviving are his wife, nee Barbara Wagler, two sons, Aaron of Wellesley and Allan on the homestead, one daughter. Mrs C. E. Swartzentruber of Petersburg. 11 grandchildren and one great-grand-child. A brother, John of Wilmot Centre and one sister Mattle, predeceased him.

    Funeral services will be held from his residence on Wednesday morning at 9:30 am to Steinman's Amish Mennonite church, Baden, with interment in Wilmot Centre Cemetery.

    WILMOT CENTRE Mrs. Christian B.. Jantzi, 85, of RR 2. Petersburg, died at her, home last night. She had been ill for four months.

    The former Barbara Wagler, she was born in Wilmot township, July 6, 1869, a daughter of the late Christian Wagler and Magdalene Zehr. Her husband predeceased her in 1939. She was a member of Steinman Amish Mennonite Church, near Baden. Surviving are two sons, Allan, at home; Aaron W., Wellesley; a daughter, Mrs. C. E. (Mary) Schwartzentruber, RR 2. Petersburg; a sister, Mrs. Jonathan (Mary) Jantzi, Kitchener; 11 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren.

    The body is at the Futher- Omand Funeral Home, New Hamburg, until 3 p.m. today when removal will be made to the residence where a short serv- ice will be conducted Monday at 1:30 p.m. It will be followed by a memorial service at Steinman Church at 2:15 p.m. Interment will be in Wilmot Centre Cemetery. Bishop Orland Gingerich will officiate.

    WELLESLEY.\emdash Ill for the past three years, Daniel K. Leis, 76, died at his home here Thursday. Deceased was born in Wellesley township in 1803. He was a member of the third line Maple View Amish Mennonite church. Surviving are his wife, four sons, Christian of Tavistock, Samuel and Peter of Kingwood, Ezra of Wellesley, one daughter, Mrs. Aaron Jantzi of Wellesley, three brothers, Menno of Wilmot, Jacob of Wellesley and Solomon of Baden, 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral was held on Sunday.
