    There passed away here on Monday after a short illness, Catharine Vollmar (Nee Kumpf) widow of the late Peter Vollmar. The deceased was born in Germany, and came to Canada when in her 14th year. She was married to Peter Vollmer, who died 22 years ago. For the last couple of years she has lived with her daughter, Mrs. Valentine Hahn, at whose home she died, and from where the funeral was held on Thursday forenoon. Rev. E. Schuelke, of the Lutheran church, conducted the funeral ceremonies. Three sons and three daughters mourn the loss of a kind and loving mother. They are: John, in Heidelberg; Fred, in Marshfield, Wis.; Henry, in Heidelberg; Catharine (Ms. Eby) Southampton; Philippine (Mrs. V. Hahn), Heidelberg; and Louise (Mrs. J. Seibert), Southampton. The Vollmar family many years ago lived in Elmira for some time, where the late Peter Vollmar carried on a blacksmithing business, and from where they came to Heidelberg.
