    GEORGE WALTER CALL May 31, 1888 May 3, 1917 Lieutenant, First Battalion. Son of William B. Call; b. Toronto; ed. Dundas r.s. and H. S.., Hamilton Normal School; Teaching at Dundas and Galt University College, 1914-15; Knox College; McGill University, 1915-16; 29th Regt., Lieut. In May 1916 he was appointed to the 111th Battalion as Captain in command of 'D' Company and was in charge of recruiting at Preston. He went overseas in September, and after reverting to the rank of Lieutenant joined the 1st Battalion in France in the spring of 1917. Two weeks later he was killed early in the morning as he was returning to his company from Headquarters.
