    PLANT, GEORGE

After only a week's illness, a young man who seemed to be one of our most promising citizens was suddenly called away on Thursday, March 4, 1910, in the person of Mr. Plant, fifth son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Plant of Waterloo Township, in his 28th year. He was born in Puslinch and has been the main support of his aged and most respected parents in the comfortable residence he provided for them in their declining years. While being their standby in life, he did not forget to provide for them even after his demise. Many a son would do well to imitate so commendable an attitude toward his parents. He was beloved by a large circle of friends and was an attendant at the Evangelical Church. He was in the employ of John Stager on the Phin farm and a most dutiful employee, he was. He leaves to mourn his apparently untimely end, besides his grief-stricken father and mother, the following brothers and sisters: James of Oregon; Henry of Owen Sound; Mrs. George Furness of Hillsburgh; John, William, Thomas and Mrs. William K. Lantz, all of Hespeler. His body was laid in his last resting place in the morning, followed to the grave by a large number of friends and relatives. A service was held at the residence of his parents on the Guelph Road at 10: 30, after which interment took place in Hespeler Cemetery.
