    Passed away at his daughter's residence after a brief illness with family by his side on Sunday, November 18th, 2001.

    Paul Pepper in his 64th year, was the loving father of Dawn and her husband Darryl Samms of Kitchener, Heather Cober and her fiance Scott Chambers of Kitchener. Dear grandfather of Adam Samms, Justin and Lauren Cober and remembered by Carol Sally Pepper of Kitchener. Paul is survived by his brother Barry Alton Pepper and his wife Lorraine of Windsor. Uncle of David, Jamie, Kristyn and Rob. Dear Papa to 19.

    Paul was an active member of the Ontario Genealogical Society.

    Paul's family will receive friends on Saturday, November 24th, 2001 at Knox Presbyterian Church, 50 Erb St. West, Waterloo, for funeral service at 2: 00PM. Reception to follow in the church hall.

    Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Windsor, Ontario.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations to Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (donations may be placed by calling the Henry Walser Funeral Home at 749-8467).

    Paul was a very active member of the Waterloo-Wellington Branch, Ontario Genealogical. He served among other roles being their publications chair. He indexed a number of reference materials accounting for over 100,000 entries. His efforts formed the basis of the Waterloo Master Name Index which is housed at the Kitchener Public Library, which has helped countless people over the years since. He was a kind, gentle and dedicated man who did much good for the heritage of the Waterloo Region.
