Kingsville Woman Lived In Town and District All Her Life

KINGSVILLE, Sept. 19. Mrs. Theresa Devitt, one of Kingsville's oldest ploneer residents, passed away at 3.30 yesterday afternoon at her residence on Pearl street following A lengthy illness.

Mrs. Devitt was born a short distance west of Kingsville on the farm now owned by J. Wigle and has been one of the most respected and loved residents of this community all her life. She was twice married, taking as her first husband the late William Bandison and after his death, the late David Devitt, who passed away five years ago. In former years, Mrs. Devitt was very active in the Missionary Societies and Ladies' Ald of the Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Fred Crawford, of Kingsville, and Mrs. Harry McLaughlin, of St. Thomas: three sons, J. Wilbur Sandi- son, of Bellingham, Wash.. Edwin Devitt, of Kingsville, and Romaine Devitt, of Kingsville; two brothers, Howard and Gordon Wigle, both of Kingsville: and four sisters. Mrs. Ed Cook, of Kingsville, Mrs. Rev. Wil- liam Godwin, of London, Mrs. Addie Wigle, of Kingsville, and Mrs. W. B. Jones, of Highland Park, Mich. Funeral arrangements will be aninounced later.
