    Sgt. Frederick George Brezina, R.C.A.F., 26, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Brezina, 50 Albert St. S.

    Sgt. Brezina, a bombardier with the R.C.A.F. overseas, was killed in action July 18, at Delmellington, Ayrshire, Scotland. He was buried at St. Dunure Cemetery, Ayrshire, at two o'clock, July 22.

    That is the information received by his parents by telegram and letter within the past few days. Sgt. Brezina is the third oldest of the family of four sons, all serving in the air force.

    Wilfred works with air force equipment somewhere in France; PO. Laverne is serving in England; Harry is an instructor at the Polson, Man., station. The four boys were members of the Scots Fusiliers reserve unit before enlisting.

    Fred was born and educated in Kitchener, and worked at the B. F. Goodrich Rubber Co. of Canada, Ltd., before joining the air force, Dec. 9, 1941. He left for overseas Sept. 3, 1943.

    The airman was a talented enter tainer and lightning cartoonist, and planned to make a career as an en tertainer after the war. 31/44

    BREZINA, Anthony - At St. Mary's Hospital, on Satur day, Sept. 2, 1973, Anthony Brezina of 50 Madison Ave. South, aged 81 years; born in New Hamburg, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs, Anthony Brezina; a resident of the Twin City area all his life and a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Mr. Brezina was a cabinet maker, formerly employed at the Schmidt Furniture Co. Ltd. for many years.

    Husband of Catherine Schuetz who predeceased him in 1964; father of Harry, Wilfred and Laverne, all of Kitchener, and the late Flt. Sgt. Fred, killed in action in 1944 during the Second World War; also predeceased by a son, Roy, in infancy; brother of Rudolph, Waterloo; Frank, Dearborn, Mich., and William of Kitchener; six grand children and four great-grand children also survive.

    Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West, Kitchener. Funeral service in the chapel Thursday at 2 p.m. with Dr. H. W. Opperman officiating. Interment St. Peter's Luther an cemetery.

    Mrs. Anthony Brezina

    Mrs. Anthony Brezina, 73, of 50 Madison Ave. S. died today at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness.

    She was the former Catherine Schuetz, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schuetz and a lifelong. resident of Kitchener.
    Mrs. Brezina was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and the Silver Cross Women.

    Surviving are her husband to whom she was married here in 1911; three sons. Harry F., Wilfred H. G. and Laverne W., all of Kitchener; a brother, Henry Schuetz of Kitchener, and six grandchildren. One son, Roy, died in infancy, and another, Flt.-Sgt. Fred Brezina, was killed overseas in the Second World War.

    The body will be at the Ratz Bechtel Funeral Home until noon Saturday when removal will be made to St. Peter's Luth eran Church for service at 2 p.m. Rev. Dr. H. W. Opperman will officiate. Temporary en tombment will be in Woodland Mausoleum, followed by burial in the family plot in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.

    Anton Brezina

    The death of Anton Brezina, a resident of Waterloo for 30 years, occurred at his home, 61 Union street east, Waterloo, yesterday afternoon. Mr. Brezina was found dead in bed. He had retired for an afternoon sleep. He was in his 84th year.

    Mr. Brezina was born in Czechoslovakia. He was a retired cooper and was an employee of the Joseph e. Seagram firm for 18 years. Mr. Brezina was a member of St. John's Lutheran church.

    His wife predeceased him seven years ago and he is survived by five sons, Joseph and Anton of Kitchener, Rudolph and William of Waterloo and Frank of Detroit; two daughters, Mrs. Wesley Schweitzer of Roseville, and Mrs. Harold Graff of Windsor, also by 20 grandchildren.

    The funeral will be held from his residence Thursday at 2:30. Interment will take place at Waterloo Mount Hope Cemetery. Rev. C. S. Roberts, pastor of St. John's Lutheran church, will conduct the services. The remains will rest at the Walsh Funeral Home, Waterloo, until 4 p.m. tomorrow when they will be removed to the residence.
