Mrs. Frank O' Reilly Passes Away in Her Eighty- fourth Year

WELL KNOWN IN TORONTO

A life of unstinted service to humanity ended yesterday morning, when. Agnes Mulholland, wife of Frank O'Reilly, passed away at the home of her daughter, Miss Lotta Babcock, 44. Albany Avenue, after an illness of five. weeks. Though in her elghty-fourth year, the late Mrs. O'Reilly was active. and intensely interested in the affairs of the Province in which she had resided during her entire lifetime. Her parents were among the first settlers in Beverley Township, and she was born near Sheffield, where she will be laid to rest tomorrow.

At the age of 20 she married Robert Babcock of Galt, who died some years later. Of this marriage there were six children, five of whom survive. Some years after she married James Ellis, also of Galt. After the death of Mr. Ellls, the deceased moved to Brantford, where she resided for some years, later coming to Toronto, where she married. Frank O'Reilly of Niagara Falls, who survives her.

Great Lover of Horses.

A quarter of a century ago, Mrs. O'Reilly was a well-known and picturesque figure in the northwest section of the city, where she was to be seen almost daily driving in a low, fawn colored phaeton, with a spirited pair of ponies. She was a great lover of horses, and was loath to exchange them for the motor. During her residence in Galt she was a member of the Free Methodist Church.

Mrs. O'Reilly leaves her husband and five children: W. F. Babcock, De Wardo Babcock, Mrs. W. J. Westwood of St. Catharines, Mrs. J. C. Weir and Miss Lotta Babcock.

Funeral Service Tomorrow.

Funeral services will be held at 44 Albany Avenue tomorrow at 12.30 noon, and at Sheffield, where she will be laid to rest. The service in Toronto will be conducted by Rev. J. N. Miller, pastor of West Toronto Independent Baptist Church, and in Sheffield by Rev. Stacey Cassmore, a nephew of the deceased.

DIED IN STRATFORD - The Dundas Standard says -

"On Tuesday of last week Reuben Babcock, an old and respected resident of Beverly Township, died in Stratford, aged 77 years. The deceased was born near the village of Sheffield, and the whole of his life until a few weeks ago was spent in the locality. Some four years since he sold his farm and retired from active work, taking up his residence in Sheffield. In March he removed to Stratford, where he died as above stated after an illness of about a week. His remains were brought to Shetfield for interment. He leaves a family of four sons and one daughter besides numerous grandchildren and other relatives."

DEATH OF WM. MULHOLLAND

Mr. Wm. Mulholland who died on Monday last, was one of the very few survivors of the early settlers of Beverly. He was a descendant of the U. E. Loyalists, who settled in Canada, during the American Revolution. His family took land in Glanforcl township, County of Wentworth, where the deceased was born. When quite a young child, the family removed to Beverly and the deceased resided there for nearly seventy years. Some few years ago, he removed to Galt and has resided here ever since. The surviving members of his family are his widow, two daughters, viz. Mrs, Ellis of Galt, and Mrs. McQueen in British Columbia and two sons, William H. and James H. both of Galt. Another daughter, Mrs. Whetham of Beverly, died a few months since. The funeral took place, on Wednesday afternoon, to Sheffield Cemetery.
