    Mrs. Clayton Schedewitz

    PRESTON - Mrs. Clayton Schedewitz, 54, of 424 Beaver St. Preston, died Monday at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Galt, following a short illness. Mrs. Schedewitz was the former Mary Margaret McKechnie. She was born at Durham and had lived in Preston for 40 years. She was an active member in many Knox Presbyterian Church organizations and was a past Matron of the Preston Springs chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the local Queen Rebecca lodge. Besides her husband she is survived by her father, Douglas McKechnie of Hanover; two sons, William of New Orleans and Wayne at home; two brothers, Archie McKechnie of Hanover and Charles McKechnie of Preston; three sisters, Mrs. Eleanor St. Clair and Mrs. Arthur George, both of Hanover and Mrs. Bert (Eileen) Pfohl of Preston, two grandchildren also survive. The body will be at the Stager-Barthel Funeral Home, until Thursday noon. The funeral will he conducted at Knox Presbyterian Church, Thursday, at 2 p.m., by Rev. A. H. Vair, minister of Knox Presbyterian Church. Burial will he at Park Lawn Cemetery.

    Mary married Clayton Henry Schedewitz 29 Jul 1925, Preston (Cambridge), Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada. Clayton (son of Simon L. Schedewitz and Sophia Carolina Stumpf) was born 13 Feb 1898, St. Clements, Wellesley Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; died 3 Feb 1972, Kitchener, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; was buried 7 Feb 1972, Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.
