    HISEY, Edith (formerly Edith Hill) - of Lion's Head passed away surrounded by family at her residence on Friday, April 19th, 2013 in her 85th year. Loving wife of Emerson. Cherished mother of Shirley (Robert) Andrechek of Georgetown, Douglas (Marlene) Hill of Lion's Head, Pauline (Larry) Leonard of Lion's Head and Murray (Jackie) Hill of Kitchener. Much loved grandmother of Eran, Alicyn, Lucy, John, Jaime, Jessica, Emily, Graham, Nicole, and Nathanael and great grandmother of Eric, James, Emma, Naomi, Sarah, Ava, Gibson, Ephraim, Alicya and Jayden. She will be sadly missed by her sister Alice O'Donoghue of Kitchener. Edith was predeceased by her husband Rev. James Hill, parents Catherine (Habermehl) and Jacob Sauder, brothers Clare, Orville, Gordon and Carl, sisters Nelda Bergey and Marjorie Zieman and grandson Shawn Andrechek. Family and friends are invited to share memories at the BETHEL MISSIONARY CHURCH, 18 Ferndale Road, Lion's Head on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 2: 00 to 4: 00 and 7: 00 to 9: 00 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Edith's life will be held at the Church on Monday, April 22nd, 2013 at 1: 00 p.m. Interment Eastnor Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. Donations made to Bethel Missionary Church Mission Fund would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. In 1915, he was married to Catherine Habermehl. Surviving are 4 sons and 4 daughters (Claire and Orval, Kitchener; Gordon, Toronto; Carl, Manitoulin Island; Nelda-Mrs. James Bergey, Breslau; Marjorie-Mrs. Walter Zieman, Preston; Alice-Mrs. Charles O'Donoghue, Kitchener; and Edith-Mrs. James Hill, Lion Head), one brother and one sister (Aaron and Anna, both of St. Jacobs), and 30 grandchildren. He was a member of the Cressman Church, where funeral services were held Aug. 11, in charge of Albert Martin and Horace Cressman.

    Jacob L. Sauder Jacob L. Sauder, 76, of Breslau, died Wednesday at his home after a lengthy illness.

    He was.born Aug. 18, 1885, in Wallace Township, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sauder. He farmed in the Breslau area for 43 years. He was a member of Cressman Mennonite Church, Breslau.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Catherine Habermehl. whom he married in 1915 in Wilmot Township; four sons, Clare and Orval of Kitchener, Gordon of Toronto, Carl of Manitoulin Island; four daughters, Mrs. James (Nelda) Bergey of Breslau, Mrs. Walter (Marjorie) Zieman of Preston, Mrs. Charles (Alice) O'Donoghue of Kitchener, Mrs. James (Edith) Hill of Lions Head; a brother, Aaron of St. Jacobs; a sister, Anna of St. Jacobs and 30 grandchildren. One daughter and a brother predeceased him.

    The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until noon on Saturday when removal will be made to Cressman Mennonite Church, where funeral service will be conducted at 2: 30 p.m. by Rev. Albert Martin. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

    Donations to the Ontario Mennonite Mission Board will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.

    Sauder. --- Henry Sauder, son of the late Jacob and Barbara (Funk) Sauder, was born near Hawkesville, Ont., July 12, 1852; died at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., Jan. 28, 1945; aged 92 y. 6 m. 16 d. He suffered from cancer for several years. He engaged in farming and also as wagonmaker until his retirement fifteen years ago. On Feb. 24, 1880, he was united in marriage to Mary Lehman, who predeceased him April 7, 1929. This union was blessed with three sons and one daughter: Jacob L., Breslau, Ont.; Ezra and Aaron, near St. Jacobs, Ont.; and Mary Ann, at home. He also leaves 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and one brother (John, near St. Jacobs, who is ninety years of age). One grandchild, 3 brothers, and 6 sisters also preceded him in death. He united with the Mennonite Church in his youth and remained a faithful member until death. His seat in church was seldom vacant as long as health permitted, and he walked to church until about a year before his death. Funeral services were held Jan. 31, in charge of Oliver D. Snider and Noah Hunsberger. Text, Job 5: 26. Interment was made in the Conestoga Riverside Cemetery.

    Sauder. - Mary Lehman Sauder, daughter of the late Christian and Mary (Krabill) Lehman, was born in Ellice Twp., Ont., Aug. 18, 1857; died at her home in St. Jacobs, Ont., April 7, 1929; aged 71 y. 7 m. 20 d. Her death was due to exhaustion from the effects of a stroke about two years ago. She united with the Mennonite Church about fifty-two years ago and was faithful to the end. She was united in marriage to Henry Sauder, Feb. 24, 1880. This union was blessed with 3 sons and 1 daughter (Ezra and Aaron, St. Jacobs, Ont.; Jacob L., Breslau, Ont.; and Mary Ann, at home). She leaves to mourn her departure her sorrowing companion, 4 children, 14 grandchildren, and 2 brothers (John and Christian). Funeral services were conducted at the home and at the St. Jacobs Mennonite church by Bros. Moses M. Brubacher, Jesse B. Martin, and Jonas Snider. Texts, Job 14: 7; Heb. 9: 28. Interment in the Hawksville Road cemetery.

    Habermehl. - Barbara Ringler, wife of William Habermehl, was born Oct. 24, 1852; died Dec. 11, 1920, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jacob Sauder, Breslau, Ont.; aged 68 y. 1 m. 17 d. She was afflicted with heart trouble for several months. Six days before her death bowel trouble set in and she suffered great pain, but bore it all patiently. She was fully resigned to God's will and longed to go home to be with Jesus. She leaves husband, 5 sons, 4 daughters, 38 grandchildren, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers. We rejoice in a hope to meet her again. Funeral services were held at the Shantz Church by Orphan Wismer and Manassah Hallman. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.

    LEHMAN - On the 8th of January, 1893, at the home of his son-in-law Henry Sauder, after an illness of but one day of bronchitis, Christian Lehman, aged 77 years and 3 months. He was buried on the 10th in the Wallace graveyard, Perth Co., Ont. Funeral services by Amos Cressman from Rev. 14: 13 and J. Nahrgang from 2 Cor. 5: 1. He was a member of the Mennonite church since his youth and remained a faithful member until his death. He was a constant reader of the HERALD OF TRUTH, for many years and a warm supporter of the same.
