He was married to Catharine Baisiger who was born April 4th, 1811, and died April 5th, 1881. They resided near Manheim on the farm now possessed by Samuel Herner, where he died May 2nd, 1884. Their family consisted of nine children"

    Wilmot, April the 14th, 1854. The Last Will and Testament of John Besiker[sic] sen of the Township of Wilmot, Bleam Street, Lot No. 2, south of said street, N.B. This will is not in power as long as I live. (1). All the property belonging to me is to go to Peter Besiker[sic], my oldest son, excepting my notes and money. (2) My two daughters Fronica Lichty and Catharine Geiger is to have Twenty five dollars each. (3) If there is anything of the said notes and money left after payment as above stated, it is to go to my oldest son Peter Besiker. (4) For my Executors I have chosen Jacob Bergey and Moses S. Bowman.
