    PRESTON, March 4.-Allen Myers died at his home in Doon yesterday in his 74th year. Deceased, who had farmed in that area for many years, was born in Baden. Surviving are his widow, who, previous to her marriage was Miss Mary O'Hanley, one son, Joseph of Kitchener, and three daughters, Mrs. Walter Winkler of Greenland, Sask., Mrs. Ella Bonner of Doon, and Mrs. Jerome White of Doon. Thirteen grandchildren also survive. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon from the residence at 2.30 o'clock to Doon Cemetery.

    "(Preston) Funeral services for Allen Myers of Doon, who passed away in his 74th year on Thurs. were held from the residence on Sat. afternoon, with interment in Doon Cemetery. The service was in charge of Rev. Dr. Brown of Hespeler. Pallbearers were Fred Kauk, Isiah Cressman, Henry Fieck, Charles Reider and William Seftel of Doon and John White of Kitchener.".

    Mrs. Mary Myers

    The death of Mrs. Mary Myers 76, of 1 Oak St., occurred at St. Mary's Hospital early today. The former Mary O'Hanley she was born in Ingersoll April 6, 1870. She was a resident of Doon for many years and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Her husband Allan Myers died eight years ago.

    Surviving are one son, Joseph Myers, Guelph; and three daughters, Mrs. Addison Woolner, Mrs. Walter Winkler and Mrs. Jerome White, all of Kitchener. Twelve grandchildren and two great-grand-children also survive. The remains are resting at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held Friday at 3 p. m. Internment will be made in the Doon Presbyterian Cemetery. Rev. E. O. Seymour will conduct the service.

    Michael Myers, "son of Abraham and Elizabeth (Delp) Myers, was born near Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, August 24th, 1803. Upon leaving school he chose the milling trade as his calling. After having served his apprenticeship of three years, he continued in the service of his old master for another term of five years. In 1827 he left his native home and state and moved to Canada and settled in the town of Waterloo where he was employed by the late Jacob S. Shoemaker (Mr. Shoemaker had rented the Waterloo Union Mills from Mr. Abraham Erb) as head miller. On October 11th, 1829, he was married to Mary (Polly), daughter of John and Mary (Shantz) Shoemaker. She was born May 28th, 1808. After their marriage they moved to Wilmot Township where he was engaged in farming for several years. In 1835 he was appointed as clerk of the township of Wilmot which position he held until his death which took place March 11th, 1879. They resided in the village of Baden where they possessed a beautiful home. After his decease the widow disposed of the property and moved to Berlin where she still resides with her adopted daughter, Miss Frances Well. To Mr. and Mrs. Michael Myers was born a family"
