    Death of Jacob Ottmann

The death of a highly esteemed Hanover citizen took place early on Monday morning when Mr. Jacob Ottmann passed away at the age of 56 years and 4 months. Deceased had been ailing since last December with stomach trouble and underwent an operation in May at Guelph for a growth in the stomach. The operation did not stay the hand of death very long, and after much suffering, bravely borne, death supervened as stated. Deceased had lived in Hanover for over 10 years and conducted a wood-working repair shop. He was a genial man and enjoyed the goodwill of the whole community who regret his death in the prime of life. He was a member of the Hanover Band and took quite an interest in that organization. Deceased was born in Wellesley township, being a son of Charles Ottmann. On April 30, 32 years ago, he married Miss Christina Forler, who survives him with three daughters, Mrs. N. Wunnenburg, Aleda and Edna, and one son, Gordon. After their marriage, they resided in Wellesley for a time where Mr. Ottmann was employed in Reiner's Woolen Mills. Twenty-two years ago they moved to Wiarton and 10 years ago they came to Hanover. The funeral takes place tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock to the Hanover cemetery. A memorial service will be held in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. H. Twietmeyer after the burial
