SNYDER.-On the 26th of May, in Waterloo Twp., Waterloo Co. Ontario, Levi Snyder, aged 74 years, 9 months and 9 days. He was buried on the 28th at Wanner's M. H., followed to the grave by a large number of relatives and friends. Appropriate remarks were made by Bish. Elias Weber from Matt. 6: 19-21 and Noah Stauffer from 2 Cor. 5: 1.

She was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, September 5th, 1792, and died in Waterloo County, Ontario, February 27th, 1854. They resided near Kossuth, where he died of cholera, July 31st, 1834. He was married in 1813 to Margaret Miller, who was born in July, 1789, and died October 18th, 1861. They resided on the farm now in possession of Noah Scheirich, about three miles north-east of Preston where they commenced to farm soon after their marriage. To them were born nine children"

Ont., of the infirmities of old age and dropsy, Bro Jesse Clemens, aged 90 yrs.,6 mos. and 24 days. he was born in Chester Co.Pa in 1791 and was a faithful member (sp) of the Mennonite Church. Christian Schenider, "was born August 28th, 1758. In 1789 he was married to Elizabeth, daughter of Christian and Maria (Scherch) Erb (See No. 2777). She was born in Warwick Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, January 23rd, 1770, and died in Waterloo County, Ontario, September 29th, 1818. In 1806 they, in company with others, emigrated to Canada and settled in Waterloo County, Ontario, near where now is the village of Doon. Here he resided for a number of years. It was his intention to construct a dam across the creek flowing through his plantation and have a grist mill erected thereon. But in order to have the desired "head of water" he found that the "back water" would flood a few acres of Mr. Biehn's swamp adjoining that of his (Mr. Schneider's) property, This, although worth nothing, or comparatively little, Mr. Biehn would not sell to Mr. Schneider and thus prevented the building of a grist mill. Mr. Schneider died August 6th, 1850, leaving a family of eleven children"

Died

In Woolwich, on the 7th April, Mr. Christian Shontz, aged 87 years. The deceased was born on the 11th day of July, 1769, in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He was married to Miss Hannah Paul in the year 1791, and lived in this state 54 years, during which time he begat 12 children, 7 are yet alive; the number of his grand children is 82, of whom 73 are yet alive; the number of his great-grand children is 119, of whom 105 are still alive. The entire number of his progenitors is 213, of whom 185 are yet alive. The deceased emigrated to the Township of Waterloo in the year 1810, where he lived 47 years.

WARNING: In my view (Jim McKane), the preponderance of the evidence suggests that at least the first 5 of Abraham's children were born to Rebecca Miller and the last one, two, or three of his children to Mary Custer. Hannah and Elizabeth could have been the last children of Rebecca (and I have listed them this way) or the first two children of Mary. Apparently all the children were born in Chester Co., PA before Abraham and his second wife moved to Canada. But I have no primary sources to confirm the dates of the two marriages or which wife was the mother of each child.
