For over 40 years he was a shoemaker with the former Bauer Skate Co. Husband of the former Minnie Duench; father of Leslie and Audrey (Mrs. Henry Miller), both of Kitchener; brother of Miss Catherine Searles of Kitchener; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive. He was predeceased by his parents and one son, Stanley.
