    WEBER, Willis - Peacefully at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington on Thursday, January 11, 2007, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Eveline (nee Jones). Loved son of the late Ervin and Louida Weber. Dear brother of Royal Weber and his wife Doris, Maurice Weber and his wife Marianne, all of Kitchener and brother-in-law of Margaret Foreman of Nairobi, Africa. Predeceased by his brother Arnott and his sisters Rhea, Elva and her husband Simon and Grace and her husband Mervin. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Willis attended Calvary Baptist Church, Burlington. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Sunday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 2458 St. Frances Drive, Burlington on Monday, January 15, 2007 at 1 p.m. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Burlington.     WEBER, Ervin C. -- On Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1981, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Ervin C. Weber, aged 96 years, a resident of Fairview Mennonite Home for the past five years, and formerly of RR 1, Blair. Dear father of Elva (Mrs. Simon Gascho) of Imlay City, Mich. Grace (Mrs. Mervin Bowman) of RR 1, Plattsville, Willis and his wife Eveline of Burlington, Royal and his wife Doris of Kitchener, Maurice and his wife Marianne of Ayton and brother of Mrs. Nettie Steckley of Cambridge. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife, the former Louida Martin in 1960, his son, Arnott; his daughter, Rhea in infancy; his sister Adelia Steckley; his father George Weber and his mother, the former Phyllis Cressman. He was a member of the Conservative Mennonite Church, New Hamburg, and a well known farmer in this area all of his life. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 7 p.m. this evening, until noon on Friday, then at FirstMennonite Church 800 King St E., Kitchener for a funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Timothy Martin will conduct the service. Interment in First Mennonite cemetery.

    Weber, Louida M., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Martin, was born Oct. 3, 1888, at Conestoga, Ont.; died at the K-W Hospital, Kitchener, Ont.; Jan. 27, 1960; aged 71 y. 3 m. 24 d. On Dec. 8, 1915, she married Ervin Weber, who survives. Also surviving are 4 sons (Willis and Maurice, Blair; Royal, Kitchener; and Arnott, Edmonton), 2 daughters (Elva--Mrs. Simon Gascho, Imlay City, Mich.; and Grace--Mrs. Mervin Bowman, Waterloo), 15 grandchildren, 2 brothers (Angus, Baden; and Rufus, St. Jacobs), and one sister (Mrs. Lucinda Shantz, Plattsville). One daughter preceded her in death. She was a member of the Weber Church, Strasburg. Funeral services were held Jan. 30 at the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, in charge of J. B. Martin and Lester Bauman.

    Martin.-Simeon Martin, aged 76 y. 9 m. 24 d., who was born in Waterloo Co., Ont., died following a lengthy illness. He was married to Rebecca Bauman who preceded him in death nearly 5 months. Surviving are 2 daughters (Mrs. Ephraim Shantz of Waterloo, with whom he resided the last 14 months; and Louida, Mrs. Ervine Weber, Blair), 3 sons (Nelson, East Palestine, Ohio; Angus, Elmira, Ont.; Rufus, St. Jacobs, Ont.), 2 sisters (Mrs. D. B. Shantz, Buffalo, N. Y.; Mrs. Allan Shantz, Waterloo, Ont.), 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, 3 sons and 1 daughter died in infancy. He was a member of the St. Jacobs Mennonite Church, at which place the funeral was held by Brethren Oliver D. Snider and Roy S. Koch.

    Martin - Rebecca, daughter of Eli and Rebecca Bauman, was born in the Jerusalem section, Ontario, Canada, June 26, 1863; died at the home of her daughter Lucinda near Waterloo, Ont., June 20, 1938; aged 75 y. 24 d. Nov. 21, 1882, she was united in marriage to Simeon Martin who with 2 daughters (Lucinda, wife of Ephraim Shantz, near Waterloo, with whom she resided, and Louida, wife of Irvin Weber of Blair), and 3 sons (Nelson of East Palestine, Ohio; Angus of near Elmira, and Rufus of St. Jacobs), remain to mourn the loss of a devoted and loving mother; also 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In early youth she gave her heart to the Lord and united with the Mennonite Church of which she was a faithful member to the end. Three sons (Amos, Alexander, and Eli), and a daughter (Hannah) preceded her in death. Funeral services were conducted at the St. Jacobs Mennonite Church with Bros. Roy Koch and Oliver D. Snider in charge. Interment in Martin's Cemetery.

She was born October 24th, 1841. They have a family of two children, one died in infancy and the other son, named VII George, is married to Phillis, daughter of Henry Cressman. They reside on her father's farm three miles east of Berlin and have a family of two children named VII Ervine and VII Ida."

    Peter M. Weber was born Nov. 1, 1839, on the old Weber homestead which was then a farm but at the present time the Canadian Goodrich Tire factory is built where the old farmhouse stood. In 1860 he was married to Leah Schmitt who predeceased him some years ago. Two children were born to this union of whom one survives -Geo. S., with whom he had has home. Two children were adopted by them - Mrs. Leah Cressman and Mrs. Abram Wambold. He also leaves 1 brother, 4 sisters, 3 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Bro. Weber was converted in his youth and joined the Mennonite Church, which faith he kept to the end. He died near Kitchener, June 13, 1925, at the ripe old age of 85 y. 8 m. 13 d. Funeral services were held at the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, June 16, Bros. Orphen Wismer and Manasseh Hallman conducting the services.

    Cressman - Henry Cressman, youngest in the family of John and Esther (Wismer) Cressman, was born in Waterloo Co., Ont., Feb. 27, 1825; was married to Sarah Woolner Mar. 4, 1851. To this union were born five daughters, of whom three, together with a number of grandchildren, remain to mourn the loss of a kind-hearted parent. Bro. Cressman united with the Mennonite church in his youth and took an interest in the church work. He was identified with the first Sunday school organized in that neighborhood, which was held in the Natchez schoolhouse. He was interested in the welfare of young people and for many years took a leading part in the public school work of his district. He died in St. Jacob's, Ont., at the home of his daughter, on the 19th of March, 1906, aged 81 Y., 25 D. Funeral services were held on the 22d from the residence in St. Jacob's to the Breslau Mennonite church and cemetery.

    On the 15th of August, 1899, about three miles from Berlin, Waterloo Co., Ontario, Sister Sarah Woolner, beloved wife of Henry Cressman, of congestion of the lungs. To this union were born five daughters, three of whom are living. She was born in Norfolk Co., England, on May 13th, 1827, aged 72 years, 3 months and 2 days. She has been a member of the Mennonite Church for many years. Of late years she had been a sufferer occasionally, especially the last few weeks of her life she endured much, but bore her sufferings with "patience." She was laid to rest at the Cressman burying ground near Breslau, where services were held by E. S. Hallman, text, 1 Cor. 15: 57, and David Sherk of the U. B. Church. Text, Phil. 1: 21.

    Bauman.-In Waterloo, Co., Ont., Mrs. Eli Bauman, aged 90 y. 2 m. 27 d., her beloved companion preceding her four years ago. To this union were born 12 children (8 surviving), 69 grandchildren (51 surviving), 144 great-grandchildren (126 surviving), 2 great-great-grandchildren (both surviving).This family is spread all over Canada and the United States. Both were faithful members in the old order Mennonite Church. May we as their family seek to spread the name of Jesus wherever we are. One of the Grandchildren.
