    Albert and Anna had wanted to marry sooner than they did but when they approached their minister (name unknown), he refused to marry them and suggested that they wait a while. When they approached him a second time, he again refused to marry them. This refusal was due to the fact that Anna's father did not want Anna to marry "a cripple" and had convinced the minister that he should not marry them. Anna had previously worked for Bishop Jonas Snider so they asked him to marry them. He not only conducted the marriage ceremony when Albert married Anna S Shantz, but also performed the marriage ceremony when Albert married Martha G Bauman.

    Habermehl. - Barbara Ringler, wife of William Habermehl, was born Oct. 24, 1852; died Dec. 11, 1920, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jacob Sauder, Breslau, Ont.; aged 68 y. 1 m. 17 d. She was afflicted with heart trouble for several months. Six days before her death bowel trouble set in and she suffered great pain, but bore it all patiently. She was fully resigned to God's will and longed to go home to be with Jesus. She leaves husband, 5 sons, 4 daughters, 38 grandchildren, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers. We rejoice in a hope to meet her again. Funeral services were held at the Shantz Church by Orphan Wismer and Manassah Hallman. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.

    "I'm going to live with the angels so fair;
    I'll look for you children and wait for you there,
    Where tears do not flow and where death cannot come,
    Together we'll dwell in that beautiful home."
    A daughter.

A life of true devotion to God and self-denying service to his fellowmen has been brought to a close, but we are comforted in that we know, that which was sown in corruption shall be raised in incorruption, and that which was sown in weakness shall be raised in power. "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection, on such the second death hath no power but they shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with him forever." The funeral services were in charge of Bro. J. B. Martin, assisted by Noah Hunsberger, C. F. Derstine, and Jonas Snider. Texts, Rev. 22: 4 and John 13: 36. The body was laid to rest in Waterloo Mennonite Cemetery.
