    Notes:

    Rsrch. Note:
My gg grandmother was Eliza or Elizabeth Ford. I am not quite certain that she is the brother of Richard but so many things are starting to point in that direction. All we know is that her obit in 1901 one states that she is survived by a brother in Ingersoll. I had paid a professional genealogist to check this out for me after making several futile attempts myself. I then came to the conclusion that many times people would refer to the nearest well known community to identify a location. So many times I have heard people say they are from Windsor and they were really from Colchester etc. I decided to check all the Fords who would fit the profile of this brother of my gg grandmother and I only came up with one person. Apparently the last known relative of Richard Ford was James Ford who lived in Eden which is very close to Ingersoll. When I took it ten years prior to 1901 ( in case the assumption on the part of the informant that he was still alive) and againI came up with two person who fit the profile. One was of course James in Eden and that other was John Ford who did live in Oxford County whom I just recently discovered was the brother of James. In the past few days I did find out that James and John had a brother Richard who lived in Waterloo in Woolrich. When I saw your picture of John Wesley Ford it was such a shock because he looked so much like Eliza Ford's youngest son, Elijah. All in all, these could all still be coincidences but I hope that I will be able to discover the answer. This would end a 30 year search!!! Eliza (Elizabeth) Ford married George Thompson (Thomson) but I have no idea where; however, I do know their first child was born cir. 1837-8.1a
