    Snyder - Clarence Wilfred, son of the late John and Lucinda (Cressman) Synder, passed away at the Freeport Sanitarium after an illness of fifteen months. He was born near New Hamburg, Ont., Aug. 19, 1902, and died May 9, 1938; aged 35 y. 8 m. 20 d. He was a resident of Kitchener, Ont., for the past thirty years. He is survived by his sorrowing wife, 1 daughter and 3 sons (Mary Elizabeth, David, George, and Griffith), all at home; also his aged mother, 2 brothers and 3 sisters (Mrs. Edwin Gabel of Kitchener, Mrs. Abram Gingerich of Bridgeport, Mrs. Walter Hofstetter of Plattsville, Zenas of New Hamburg and Oscar of Manitoba). His father predeceased him him in 1922. He was a faithful member of the Mennonite Church. His unassuming, quiet disposition, and constant interest in the deeper things of life, will not be forgotten by his friends. The funeral and burial was conducted at the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, in charge of Bro. C.F. Derstine and Noah Hunsberger. Theme, "The Widows and Fatherless." Text, Jer. 49: 11.

    Snyder.--John B. Snyder was born in Waterloo county, Ont., Aug. 1, 1848 died at his home in Kitchener, Ont., Mar. 20, 1922; aged 73 y. 7 m. 20 d. In 1877 he was married to Isabella Cassel to which union 4 daughters and 2 sons were born, one girl dying in infancy. After his first wife's decease he was married to Lucinda Cressman in 1900. To this union one son was born. He leaves his sorrowing widow, 3 sons, 3 daughters, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters, and many friends. Bro. Snyder has been a member of the Mennonite Church for many years, to which he remained faithful till the end. Funeral services were held at the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, Mar. 23, conducted by the brethren Jonas Snider and Manasseh Hallman. "Gone to his reward."

    Snyder. - Lucinda, daughter of Samuel and Barbara Cressman, was born near New Dundee, Ont., April 29, 1864; died Aug. 23, 1942, at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital; aged 78 y. 3 m. 29 d. She was united in marriage to John Snyder, who preceded her in death 20 years. Her only son passed away four years ago. She is survived by 4 grandchildren and 1 brother (M. C. Cressman, of Kitchener), who is the last surviving member of a family of 13 children. In addition to the above she is survived by 2 stepsons (Zenes of Ontario and Oscar of Saskatchewan), by 3 stepdaughters (Mrs. E. Gabel, Mrs. A. S. Gingrich, and Mrs. Walter Hostetter), 26 step-grandchildren, and 11 step-great-grandchildren. In her early womanhood she became a member of the Mennonite Church at Blenheim, Ont. After marriage she was associated with the Biehn congregation prior to her moving to Kitchener in early middle age. She was a loyal member of the First Mennonite Church at Kitchener until the time of her death, which by the providence of God was as a messenger of mercy, relieving her of the in-firmities of age. A memorial service was held at the First Mennonite Church Aug. 25, in charge of Bro. Merle Shantz. Interment in adjoining cemetery.

    "Mrs. Lucinda Snyder, 78, of 164 Hoffman St., died at the Kitchener Waterloo Hospital Sunday morning. She was the widow of John Snyder and was born near New Dundee, a d/o the late Samuel and Barbara Cressman.

    Surviving are two sons, Zenas of Wilmot Tp., and Oscar of Saskatchewan; three daughters, Mrs. F. Gabel, Mrs. A.S. Gingrich and Mrs. Walter Hostetter, 29 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. One brother, M. C. Cressman of Kitchener is the last surviving member of a family of 13 children. The husband, John Snyder died 20 years ago, and one son, Clarence, died four years ago....."

    Geiger. --- Ezra W. Geiger, was born in Zurich, Ont., June 18, 1870; died suddenly as a result of an accident in the hayfield July 5, 1950; aged 80 y. 17 d. On June 22, 1893, he was married to Mary Ann Heckendorn, who remains. Also surviving are 5 children (Mabel-Mrs. William Gossman, Dashwood; Irvin, at home; Ida-Mrs. Clarence Snyder, Kitchener, Ont.; Arthur, Detroit, Mich.; Gordon, at home), 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and one brother (David, of Galt, Ont.). Over fifty years ago he united with the Mennonite Church at Roseville. Funeral services were held July 7 at his late home and at the Cressman Mennonite Church. Burial was made in the cemetery adjoining the church. Oscar Burkholder officiated. Text: I Sam. 20: 3.

He is a very active and well posted man for his age. His family consisted of fifteen children"

    SNYDER - Absolom Snyder born in Waterloo Co., Ont., May 23rd 1817, died of paralysis on May 21st 1900, leaving four sons and three daughters to mourn the loss of a kind and loving father. He passed away at the ripe old age of 82 years, 11 months, and 29 days. A large circle of relatives and friends followed the remains to their last resting place at Wanner's M. H., on the 24th. Deceased united with the Mennonite Church in his youth and was a consistent member until his death. Funeral services at the house by Jacob Woolner, Sr., and at the M. H. by Noah Stauffer and Elias Weber. Sister Snyder preceded her husband nine years ago.

    Heckendorn.-Maria Good was born in the township of Waterloo on Dec. 29, 1837, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Underwood, Bridgeport, Ont., Feb. 22, 1920. On June 27, 1858, she was married to John Heckendorn, who predeceased her about three years. To this union were born ten children, of whom eight are still living. She leaves 8 children, 47 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted on Feb. 25th from Bridgeport to the Cressman church, Breslau, Ont. Services were conducted by Oscar Burkholder.
