    BAGG, ALFRED

    A farmer on the Guelph highway until 1950, at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener, on Friday, May 29, 1953, in his 65th year. Born in Highfield, ON, he had been a farmer most of his life. He was a member of the Independent Order of Foresters and attended the United Church. Predeceased by his wife in December 1951. Survived by a son, Arthur of Hespeler; four daughters, Jean (Mrs. Albert Krueger) of Hespeler; Ruth (Mrs. John Foss) of Hespeler; Marion (Mrs. George Brown) of Preston; Grace (Mrs. Earl Franks) of Guelph; a sister, Hilda Bagg of Guelph; a brother, Leslie Bagg of Kelowna, BC; and thirteen grandchildren. Service at the Stager Funeral Home on Mon. , June 1 at 2: 30. Rev. M. G. McFarlane conducted. Pallbearers: Carl Ellis, Lyle Braun, Howard Strycker, Earl Mills, George Inglis and Leonard Burton. Interment Hespeler Cemetery.

    Mrs. Alfred Bagg, suddenly, at her home in Waterloo Township, at about 8: 45 Wednesday evening, [December 2, 1931]. She was a lifelong resident of this district, having been born in Puslinch Township. She was a member of the United Church. Survived by her husband; one son, Arthur; four daughters, Jean, Marion, Ruth and Grace; two sisters, Miss Lillian and Miss Nettie Sault of Hespeler; three brothers, Brock Sault, at home; William Sault of Vancouver; and George Sault of Washington. The funeral service, conducted by Rev. I. M. Moyer and Rev. J. J. Lowe, was held on Saturday at 2: 30 from her residence to Hespeler Cemetery. Pallbearers: Walter and Archie Bagg, Walter Sault and Gordon Salt of Hespeler;; Leslie Bagg of Galt; and Walter Hatch of Kitchener.

    SAULT, SAMPSON

    On Saturday evening at 9, at the home of his daughter, "Sunny Hill", where he had resided since his removal to town from Puslinch some months ago. He was in his 75th year and had been in declining health for some time. He was highly respected by all who knew him, especially by the neighbours of the Waterloo and Puslinch Townline, where he resided for the past thirty years. His wife predeceased him some thirty years ago. Survived by the following children: William of Edmonton; George of Oregon; Brock, on the old homestead; the Misses Alice, Lily and Nettie, at "Sunny Hill Farm". The funeral was held on Tuesday at 2: 30 to the Hespeler Cemetery for interment and many friends gathered to pay their tribute of esteem. Service was conducted by Rev. J. ?.

    Rev. Benjamin D. Hallman, "was born September 20th, 1821. On January 24th, 1843 he was married to Catharine Honsberger who was born March 16th, 1824, and died November 30th, 1886. After his marriage he moved on his father's old homestead, about a mile east of Roseville, where he still resides. Some years ago he was chosen to the ministry of the River Brethren denomination. As regards firmness of will and strict self-denial, Mr. Hillman stands unrivalled. Active, faithful, disinterested and self-sacrificing devotion for the teaching of that which he regards as truth and Gospel teachings are marked features of his character. His natural good sense and sound judgment make him one of the ablest divines of the church of his choice."

    In Memoriam Died Near Roseville, Ont., on October 8th, 1910, at 4.30 o'clock, a.m. Benjamin D. Hallman, aged 89 years, 18 days. The Funeral Will take place on Monday afternoon, 10th inst. at 1.30 o'clock, from his late residence, to Detweiler's Church for services, thence to the Hallman cemetery, east of Roseville for interment. Friends and acquaintances will please accept this intimation.
