    Andrew Magnus

    Andrew Lawrence Magnus, 67, of RR 1, Ariss, died Saturday at his home after a lengthy illness.

    Born hear Ariss Nov. 30, 1892, he was a son of Mrs. Regina Magnus and the late Jacob Magnus.

    He farmed in the area and was also a carpenter until retiring a year ago. He was a member of St. Boniface RC Church, Maryhill.

    Survivors include his wife, the former Wilhelmina Bruder; his mother, one son, Donald of RR 1, West Montrose; two brothers, Jacob and Alberta, Anthony of RR 1, Ariss; five sisters, Mrs. Pauline Wright of RR 2, Ariss, Mrs. Edward Schultz and Mrs. Alfred Lehman of Kitchener, Mrs. Samuel Airdrie of Bridgeport, Miss Annie of RR 1, Ariss, and two grandchildren. Two sisters predeceased him.

    The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, where prayers were recited Monday before removal to the church for requiem high mass at 10 o'clock. Rev. Jerome Fischer officiated. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

    NEW GERMANY. Jan. 8 - Funereral services for Jacob Magnus, 78, Weisenburg, who died at his home on Saturday evening, following a rtroke, were held at St. Boniface church here at 10 a.m., today, with interment in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Joseph Diemert, officiated. Born in Pilkington township, deceased was married 48 years ago to Regina Weber. He has been ill for the past six years. Surviving are his widow, three sons, Andrew of Weisenburg, Jacob of New Ontario and Anthony at home, six daughters, Mrs. Walter Roth and Mrs. Ed Schults, both of Kitchener. Mrs. Joe Wright, Weisenburg, Mrs. Alfred Lehman, Mardcn, Mrs. Samuel Adrey of New Germany and Miss Annie at home. One daughter predeceased him.

    Jacob Magnus

    New Germany - Funeral services were held here yesterday for Jacob Magnus, 76, who passed away at his home here on Saturday evening, the result of a stroke. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining St. Boniface church.

    Besides his widow, he is survived by three sons, Andrew of Weisenberg, Jacob of New Ontario and Anthony, at home; six daughters, Mrs. Walter Roth and Mrs. Ed. Schultz, both of Kitchener, Mrs. Joe Wright of New Ontario, Mrs. Alf. Lehman, of Marden, Mrs. Samuel Adrey of New Germany, and Miss Annie, at home. One daughter predeceased him.

    Mrs. Regina Magnus

    MARYHILL- Mrs. Regina Magnus, 94, died at her home at RR 1. Ariss, Friday.

    Born near Maryhill, Sept. 28, 1866, she was a daughter of the ate Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Weiler. Her husband, Jacob Magnus, predeceased her Dec. 31,-1939.

    She was a life-long member of St. Boniface RC Church, Maryhill, and a honorary member of the Christian Mothers Catholic Women's League.

    Surviving are two sons, Jacob of Perryvale, Alta., and Anthony of RR 1, Ariss; five daughters, Miss Anna Magnus of RR 1. Ariss, Mrs. Pauline Wright of Ariss, Mrs. Edward (Regina) Schultz and Mrs. Alphonse Elizabeth) Lehman of Kitchener and Mrs. Samuel (Cecilia) Airdrie of Bridgeport; one brother, Stephan of Detroit; two sisters, Mrs. Victoria Fagel of Guelph and Mrs. Magdelina Elchert of Kitchener, 28 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

    One son and two daughters predeceased her.

    The body is at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, where prayers will be said Monday at 9:30 a.m.

    Requiem high mass will be e solemnized at St. Boniface Church, Maryhill, at 10:30. Bur ial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Vincent Pickett will officiate. The rosary will be recited at the funeral parlor Sunday at 8 p.m.

    ANTHONY WEILER

    At the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Madgalena Elchert, 379 Breithaupt street, death claimed Mr. Anthony Weller in his 93rd year, this morning. The deceased was born in New Germany and lived there all his life. He was in his usual health until two weeks ago, when he suffered an attack of pleurisy. He is survived by his wife, four sons, John of Toronto, Andrew of New Germany, Stephen and Anthony of Detroit, by four daughters Mrs. Jacob Magnus, New Germany. Mrs. Catherine Gonter, Detroit, Mrs. Samuel Fagel, Guelph and Mrs. Magdalena Elchert of this city and by one brother, Conrad of Trout Creek, Muskoka, and one sister, Mrs. Abalona Schlosser of Formosa. Also surviving are 57 grand- children and 42 great grandchildren. The funeral will take place from the residence of Mrs. Elchert on Saturday morning, for services in St. Boniface church, New Germany, at 10 o'clock. Interment will be made in New Germany.
