    Leis, Moses K. - Passed away peacefully, at the K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, in Kitchener, on Friday, June 3, 2005, with his family at his side. He was born in Wellesley, October 4, 1927. Son of the late Moses B. Leis and the late Lydia Kropf. Moses was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wellesley. He was a plumber and tinsmith with the hardware store in Wellesley, retiring in 1993. He also was a member of the Wellesley Fire Department, serving for 15 years. Loving father of Pat and her husband Harry Blinkhorn, Bruce and his wife Dolores Leis, Roger and his wife Patsy Leis, Marilyn Walker, Ann and Rob Montgomery. Lovingly remembered by his 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Melvin and Marie Leis. Brother-in-law of Doris and Alfred Blow, John and Jean Clark, Ron Law, Mary and Wes Mulford, Barb and Gary Sholdice, Irene Clark and Peg Cressman. Predeceased by his loving wife Margaret, March 29, 2003; by a grandson, Bradley Kieswetter; brothers-in-law, Jim Clark, Don Wagner, Bill Clark and Frank Clark. Sisters-in-law, Ruth Wagner, Eleanor Clark and Nancy Law. Moses was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He dedicated his life to taking care of his wife in her final years. He will be sadly missed by his family. Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 1172 Henry St. in Wellesley, where family and friends will be received on Tuesday, June 7, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wellesley, on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 2 p.m. Pastor Andy Schroth will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to First St. Paul's Lutheran Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

    Leis, Mrs. Moses (Margaret) - Passed away, peacefully, at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener, on Saturday, March 29, 2003. Margaret Francis (Clark) Leis, of Wellesley. She was born in Lakeview, Manitoba 75 years ago. Daughter of the late Samuel Clark and the late Kate Davis. Margaret was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wellesley. Best friend and beloved wife of Moses K. Leis of Wellesley for 52 years and 11 months. Loving mother of Pat and her husband Harry Blinkhorn of Waterloo, Bruce and his wife Dolores Leis of New Hamburg, Roger and his wife Patsy Leis of New Hamburg, Marilyn Walker of Woodstock, Ann Vanvlymen and her friend Rob Montgomery of Kitchener.     Mrs. Lydia Leis

    Wellesley, Sept. 18 - Mrs. Lydia Leis, 55 widow of Moses B. Leis, died at her home here yesterday after a year's illness. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joel Kropf, she was born at Wellesley on Dec. 22, 1894. Mrs. Leis was a member of Maple View Amish-Mennonite Church. Her husband predeceased her in 1927. Surviving are two sons, Melvin and Moses, Wellesley; two brothers, John Kropf, Strathroy and David Kropf, Kitchener; three sisters, Mrs. Christian Litweiler, New Hamburg; Mattie and Annie, Wellesley; and four grandchildren. The body is resting at the residence where a private service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. A public funeral will beheld inn Maple View Church at 3p.m. Bishopp Samuel Schultz and Rev. Moses Roth will officiate. Internment will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.
