    James Patrick

    PRESTON - Stricken suddenly with a heart attack, James Mark Patrick, 62, died at his home, 625 King St., Preston, Saturday. Mr. Patrick was well-known in the community, having been a resident of the Galt-Preston district for 33 years. Born in Birmingham, England, he came to Canada 33 years ago, directly to Galt where he lived for 13 years. For 20 years he had made his home in Preston. Employed with the Galt Stove Company while at resident of Galt, Mr. Patrick had been a press worker with Clare Bros. for 20 years. An adherent of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, he was formerly a member of Preston lOOF, having been a member of the degree team, and also a member of Preston Victory Encampment. A soccer player of ability he was a member of the Galt Soccer club from 1920 to 1928. He served with the British Expeditionary Forces in the Imperial Army from 1914 to 1919 in France. He was a member of the Preston Canadian Legion. His first wife, Doris Parks, predeceased him in Galt, and in 1936 he married Florence Middlerniss of Preston, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Rev. John W. Patrick of St. Catharines, Leonard Mark Patrick of Galt, Raymond W. Patrick of Whitby and James A. Patrick of Detroit; a sister, Mrs. Thomas Perry of Birmingham, England, and a brother, William Patrick of Galt; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body is at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home where the funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 2: 30. Interment will be in the Preston cemetery.
