    SUDDEN DEATH OF MR. PHILIP KOENIG
    The sad and sudden death of Mr. Philip Koenig took place at his home on Mary St., at an early hour this morning. The deceased had been a sufferer from rheumatism for some time, which developed into Bright's Disease. He was up and around yesterday but took desperately ill about 10 o'clock Tuesday night, and passed away at 2:30 a.m.
    Mr. Koenig was 45 years old and had been a member of the Steckenreider and Koenig Contracting Co. for several years. His death will come as a shock to a wide circle of friends and associates.
    He is survived by a sorrowing wife, five children, five brothers and one sister. The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, and the remains will be interred in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

    Mrs. Frederick Dahmer - Mrs. Frederick Dahmer, 82, of 223 Mary St. Waterloo died today in Guelph after a lengthy illness. The former Catherine Foerster, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Foerster. She was born in Wellesley Township and lived all her married life in Waterloo. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo, and the Lutheran Church Women. She was predeceased by her first husband, Philip Hoenig, in 1916, her second husband, Frederick Dahmer, in 1959, three brothers and a sister. Surviving are four sons, Edward and Harold of Kitchener and Gordon and Roy of Waterloo; one daughter, Mrs. Christopher (Nelda) Schmidt, Waterloo; one brother, George, Waterloo, three sisters, Mrs. Annie Cook and Mrs. Frederick (Louise) Kneisel, both of Gadshill and Mrs. George (Melinda) Glebe, Kitchener, 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. The body will be at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, Waterloo, after 10 a.m. Sunday until Tuesday noon when funeral service will be conducted at St. John's Lutheran Church at 3 p.m. Burial will be at Waterloo Mount Hope Cemetery.

    On Thursday of last week there were buried in the Lutheran cemetery have the earthly remains of Jacob Foerster, who died of Bright's disease raving been seriously ill only a week. Deceased had been twice married. His first wife died in 1857 and the second one seven years ago. One son of the first wife survives and 2 sons and 2 daughters of the second wife. For a number of years he had lived with his daughter, Mrs. John Rank, Con. 7, Wellesley township. He leaves four brothers, who were present at the funeral, namely, Frederick and Andrew, of Heidelberg, Louis of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Valentine, of Cranbrook, Ont.
