Peacefully, after a lengthy illness at the Hilltop Manor, Cambridge, on Sunday, July 12, 1998, in her 83rd year. Ambro Ross (nee McInerney) of Cambridge, beloved wife of the late Robert Ross. Dear mother of Jeannette Gorth and her husband Ted and Judith Ernewein and her husband Harold both of Cambridge. Cherished grandmother of Gregory, David, Lenore, Ross, John and Mary and also survived by nine great-grandchildren. Dear aunt of Sally and Bonnie and sister Maggie Wragge. Predeceased by a sister, Kathleen and a brother, Irvine. Mrs. Ross was a retired employee of Allen-Bradley and a member of St. Patrick's parish. Friends will be received at LITTLE'S FUNERAL HOME, 223 Main Street East, Cambridge today (Monday), from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Vigil Service will be conducted at the funeral home, Monday evening, at 8: 30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated at St. Patrick's RC Church, 53 Wellington Street, Cambridge, on Tuesday, July 14, 1998, at 10 a.m. Interment, Mount View Cemetery.

John McInerney

GALT, John Francis McInerney, 24 Oak St., died Thursday at South Waterloo Hospital, Galt. He was 79. Mr. McInerney was born in Dundas, Ont. and resided in Galt. most of his life. He was employed for about 40 years. at Turnbull and Co. He had lived retired for 14 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's RC Church. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Fleda Bricker, in 1951. Surviving are one son, Irvin, of Galt; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Ambro) Ross and Mrs. Robert (Peggy) Wragge both of Galt; one brother, Thomas of Saskatchewan and one sister, May, in United States; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The body will be at the Coutts and Son Funeral Home until Saturday morning. when removal will be made to St. Patrick's RC Church for requiem mass. at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Patrick's RC cemetery.
