    JOHN AARON POORE

    PRESTON, Jan. 25--Suffering a heart attack while engaged at his duties at Preston Furniture about a week ago. John Aaron Poore died at his home at 11 o'clock last night. Mr. Poore was born at Plattesville and resided there until coming to Preston 45 years ago. For many years he was employed at the Pattinson Woolen Mill, being employed with Preston Furniture for the past year and a half. He was a Baptist by faith and was an honorary member of the Preston Loyal Orange Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Edith Cockerton; three sons. John of Preston, Charles of Hespeler and Gunner Joseph Poore, overseas; five daughters, Mrs. Harry Affeldt, Kitchener; Mrs. Arthur Hopf, Mrs. George Botten and Mrs. John Martin of Preston, and Mrs. Norman Pipe of Simcoe; one sister, Mrs. Mary Wall, of Brantford. Twenty-six grandchildren also survive. A son, George, predeceased him 37 years ago. The remains are resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held on Saturday at 4 p.m. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
