In Memoriam. Died At Wellesley, on Monday, December 26th, 1938 Joseph Leis, Sr. Aged 86 years and 14 days. The Funeral Will be held from his late residence on Thursday, Dec. 29th, at 9.30 o'clock a.m., and proceed to Maple View A.M. Church, Third Line, for services. Burial in adjoining cemetery. How many were the silent prayers Our father offered up for us, How many were the bitter cares He felt when none but God could see. Well he is gone and now in Heaven He sings His praise Who died for him And in his hand a harp was given And he's a Heavenly worshipper. Oft let us think of what he said, And of the kind advice he gave; Oh let us do it as he's dead And sleeping in his lonely grave. And let us choose the path he chose, And he we soon again may see Beyond the world of sin and woes With Jesus in Eternity.

The bosom where I oft have lain,
And slept my infant hours away,
Will never beat for me again,
'Tit still in death! 'tie senseless clay.
How many were the silent prayers
My mother offered up for me,
How many were the bitter cares
She felt when none but God could see,
Well, she is gone, and now in heaven,
She sings his praise, who died for her,
And in her hand a harp is given,
    And she's a heavenly worshiper.
And let me choose the path she chose,
And her I soon again may see.
Beyond this world of sin and woes
    With Jesus in Eternity.
