    RAMER, Norma Norma (Gingerich) Ramer passed away peacefully from this life on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at her home in Nithview Community. She was born in Zurich 89 years ago. Norma was predeceased by her husband Jonas (1987), her son Steven (2008), her grandson Konrad Jr. (2007) and great-granddaughter Carissa. Six children and their spouses survive: John (Lorraine), Ruth (Dave Fennell), David (Mary Kay), Edith (Konrad Spilles), Mary (David Haus), and Miriam (Ron Wettlaufer). Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one sister and 4 brothers and their families. Visitation will be held at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 4 - 8 p.m. A Family Burial service will take place Saturday morning, and a Service of Remembrance will take place at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 2 p.m. If desired, donations may be made to the Nithview Community Auxiliary or a charity of one's choice.     GINGERICH, EDMUND G. Of Baden, passed away today (Jan. 24) at Scott Pavilion, in his 76th year. He was born Oct. 1, 1900, in Zurich, Ont. and had lived in Baden most of his life; he was a member of Baden Mennonite Church.

    A son of the late Daniel Gingerich and Lydia Gingerich. Surviving are his wife, the former Anna Roth; four sons, Nevin of Route 1, Wellesley, Neil of Dunbar, West Va., Newton and Nathan of Baden, Mrs. J.V. (Naomi) Billedeau of Waterloo, Mrs. Charles (Norraine) Hadland of Baden, Mrs. Douglas (Nelda) Horst of Cambridge (Preston); one brother, Aaron of Zurich; one sister, Mrs. Mary Gerber of Zurich; 33 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; predeceased by one sister Mrs. Emma Gerber.

    Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced and will be announced in the Monday edition of The Record by rhe Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home, New Hamburg. Expressions of sympathy may be made by donations to the church building fund.

    Gingerich. - Daniel Gingerich, oldest son of Jacob and Marie Gingerich (deceased), was born May 4, 1864; died Feb. 19, 1929; aged 64 y. 9 m. 15 d. He accepted Christ as his Savior and united with the Amish Mennonite Church to which he remained faithful until death. On Oct. 30, 1894, he was united in marriage to Lydia Gingerich. For a number of years he suffered from heart trouble. This winter he was not very well, but was not confined to his bed. He got up from his chair, walked a few steps, and fell on the floor, thus passing away. This union was blessed with 2 daughters and 2 sons: Mrs. Vallie Gerber, Bayfield, Ont.; Mrs. Moses Gerber, Zurich, Ont.; Aaron on the old homestead; and Edmund of St. Agatha, Ont. These children with his wife survive. Funeral services were held at the home conducted by Bro. Peter Boshart and at the church in charge of Christian Schrag in English and Daniel H. On On October 30, 1894, she was married to Daniel Gingerich, who preceded her in death in 1929. Preceding her in death were her parents, her son (Emanuel), one grandson, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, and one sister. Surviving are her husband, 2 daughters (Mary-Mrs. Allen L. Leis, Anna-Mrs. Edmund G. Gingerich), 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, one sister (Mattie-Mrs. Christian Z. Steinman), 3 brothers (Abraham, Benjamin, and John Z.), all of Wilmot Twp., and many relatives and friends. Funeral services on Feb. 9 at the St. Agatha Amish Mennonite Church were conducted by Elmer Schwartzendtruber, Elmer Grove, and Peter Nafziger, with burial in church cemetery.
