    MARTIN, Moses B. - Peacefully, went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Leisureworld Care Centre, Elmira. Moses B. Martin, in his 91st year, of Elmira. Beloved husband of Hannah (Weber) Martin for almost 67 years. Dear father of Beatrice Wideman of RR 3, Wallenstein, Marlene and Ray Shantz of Shakespeare, Glenn and Melody Martin of Penticton, B.C., Joyce and Klaus Kitt of Kitchener. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Kim Wideman, Lisa (Mike) Spencer, Stephanie Wideman, Tim (Jenny) Shantz, Jim (Brenda) Shantz, John Lee (Catherine) Shantz, Daniel (Sarah) Shantz, Steven (Jessica) Martin, Michael (Janette) Martin, Megan Martin and Jesse O'Donaghey and by his great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Noah and Hannah Spencer, Nathan, Hannah, Sophia, Andrew and Abigail Shantz and Noah Martin. Brother of Ida and Ivan Bearinger of Elmira; brother-in-law of Rebecca Martin of Elmira, Barbara Weber of Parkhill; step-brother of David Martin of St. Jacobs; step-brother-in-law of Annie Martin of St. Jacobs, Marjorie Martin of Abbotsford, B.C. Predeceased by his parents, Josiah and Susannah (Bauman) Martin; step-father, Isaac Martin; twin daughters, Mary, Martha and Jane; son-in-law, Edgar Wideman; brothers, Aden and Amsey Martin; step-brothers, Jacob and Henry Martin; step-sister-in-law, Donna Martin. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira, on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, transfer will be made to Woodside Bible Fellowship, Elmira for funeral service at 2: 30 p.m. with Pastor Dan Allen officiating, followed by interment in St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery. In his memory donations to Woodside Bible Fellowship Building Fund or World Vision would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.

    Notes:

    Mrs. Isaac G. Martin of 32 Church St. W.Elmira, died at her home Tuesday after a brief illness. She was 75.

    The former Susannah Bauman, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Bauman and was born in Woolwich Township Sept. 26. 1893. She was married to Josiah B. Martin who predeceased her in 1945. Her second husband, Isaac G. Martin, predeceased her in 1964.

    Surviving are two sons. Aden of RR 2. Wallenstein, and Moses of RR 3, Waterloo; one daughter Mrs. Ivan (Ida) Bearinger of RR 2. West Montrose: three stepsons, Henry of Kitchener, Jacob of Ottawa and David of Elmira: 30 grandchildren and eight great-grand- children. She was predeceased by one son and two brothers.

    The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, where a short service was conducted Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by removal to North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House for a further service. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

    Weber. - Emanuel, son of Amos and Hannah (Martin) Weber, was born March 30, 1893; died June 1, 1934; aged 41 y. 2 m. 2 d. He was taken ill on May 21. His mind failed. He was taken to Hamilton Hospital on May 22. He was awfully disturbed until Friday morning, when he passed away. He leaves his loving widow, 7 children, an aged father, 4 sisters and 4 brothers, namely: Leah (Mrs. Daniel Cressman), St. Jacobs; Israel, near St. Jacobs; Elias, near Yatton; Susanna (Mrs. Sidney Martin), St. Jacobs; Sidney, Lancaster, Pa.; Mary Ann (Mrs. Aaron Bauman), St. Jacobs; Amos, in Waterloo; Hannah (Mrs. Aaron Weber), Conestoga. He united with the Mennonite Church in his youth in which he remained until the Lord called him home. Funeral services were held at the Martins Church by Bros. Jessie Bauman and Thomas Reesor. Burial in the adjoining cemetery.

    Weber - Amos Weber, son of Elias and Susanna Bricker, was born April 17, 1851; died at his home Feb. 9, 1935; aged 83 y. 9 m. 23 d. He resided on the farm near Waterloo, Ont., for 62 years. On Oct. 8, 1872, he was married to Hannah Martin who preceded him 5 years ago. To this union were born 9 children. He is survived by 5 sons and 4 daughters: Leah (Mrs. Daniel Cressman), and Esrael, Elias Yatton, susanna (Mrs. Sidney Martin), all of St Jacobs, Ont.; Sidney, Lancaster, Pa.; Mary Ann (Mrs. Aaron Bauman), Hannah (Mrs. Aaron Weber), Conestoga; Amos of Waterloo and Emanuel at the homestead who preceded him 8 months ago. He also leaves 59 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Death was due to heart failure. In his early youth he united with the Mennonite Church, in which he was a faithful member until death. Funeral at his home Feb. 13, thence to Martin's Church where service was conducted by Thomas Reesor and Urias Martin. His body was laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery

    Weber. - Hannah Martin, wife of Amos Weber, was born near St. Jacobs, Ont., Nov. 3, 1851; died July 30, 1929; aged 77 y. 8 m. 27 d. On July 14, she took a stroke which confined her to her bed until she peacefully passed away. There survive a loving husband and nine children: Leah (Mrs. Daniel Cressman), Israel, Elias, Susanna (Mr.s Sidney Martin), Sidney, Mary Ann, Amos, Emanuel, and Hannah (Mr.s Aaron Weber). She also leaves 2 brothers (Jacob and Menno), 3 sisters (Mrs. Sidney Snyder, Mrs. Daniel Weber, and Mrs. Menno Bauman), 55 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Martin's church, in charge of Urias Martin and Jesse Bauman of Waterloo, Ont., and Frank Horst, of Lancaster, Pa. Interment in the cemetery near by.

    Mrs. John S. Frey

    ST. JACOBS.\emdash The funeral of the late Mrs. John S. Frey was held on Monday morning. After a short service at her late residence, the memorial service was held in the Conestogo meeting house near the Three Bridges, which was largely attended.

    She is survived by her husband, five daughters and seven sons: Mrs. Henry Bowman, Lexington, Mrs. Onias Weber, Hawkesville. Mrs. Allen Diefenbecker, 8th of Peel, Mrs. Amos Bowman and Mrs. Jacob Bowman of St. Jacobs. The sons are: Israel of Conestogo, Aaron, Tilman, Emanuel and Allen of St. Jacobs, John and Ezra of Heidelberg. One sister, Mrs. John Metzger, and one brother, Mr. Aaron Hoffman of Heidelberg, also survive.
