    Respected Lady Passes Away
Mrs. F. Wilkin [sic] Died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L. Bunch, Monday Afternoon

It is scarcely two months since we were called upon to chronicle the death of Mr. Frederick Wilken and now it becomes our sad duty to announce the death of his aged partner, Mrs. Wilken, who passed away at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. L. Bunch, on Monday afternoon, after an illness extending over nine months. She had been ill with pneumonia for the past nine weeks, which ultimately caused her death. The deceased was born in Germany and came to this country about 45 years ago, and was married several years later to Mr. Wilken at Rumelhardt, where they first resided. They subsequently resided in a number of other places until finally they moved to Elmira, where they lived 22 years. About a year ago, Mrs. Wilken came to Waterloo and has resided with her daughter since then. Deceased was 68 years, 7 months and 18 days of age. Nine children were born to the couple, seven of whom survive, as follows: John, Henry and Charles of Elmira, William of Preston, Fred of Stony Plain, N.W.T., and two daughters, Mrs. Theodore Urtel, of Elmira and Mrs. L. Bunch, Albert St., Waterloo. The funeral will take place from the residence of Mr. Louis Bunch, Albert street, Waterloo at 2 o'clock on Thursday afternoon, to St. Paul's Lutheran church, Berlin, for service, thence to Mount Hope Cemetery for interment. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved.
