    Levi F. Kuepfer went to be with his Lord, surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Stratford Perth Rotary Hospice. Levi was born 90 years ago in Hutchinson, Kansas, a son of the late Jonathan and Leona (Follas) Kuepfer. He resided on the family farm near Molesworth for the past 52 years. Levi lived a life that was centered on his faith, his family, farming and friendships.

    Levi is reunited with his beloved wife Laurene (Lebold) Kuepfer, who predeceased him on July 16, 2005. Loving father of Doris Anne Miller, Sharon Kuepfer, Rosalee (Kevin Wernham), Joseph Kuepfer (Lisa), James Kuepfer (Sue), Marilyn (Chris Wynes), Mary Jane Dinsmore and Pauline Horst (David Degen). Gentle and caring grandfather of; Doug Miller, Dale Wernham (Ritchie), Kim (Erich Eckert), Konrad Wernham (Melissa), Ryan Kuepfer, Derek Kuepfer, Kiera Kuepfer (John), Angela (Scott Miller), Vanessa Oldfield, Matthew Kuepfer (Kathy), Alanna (Scott MacDonald), Seth Wynes (Althea), Darren Wynes (Marianne), Blair Wynes (Lauren), Luke Wynes (Samantha), Dustin Horst (Natasha) and 22 great-grandchildren.

    Levi will be remembered by his siblings; Melvin, Henry (Mary), Sarah, Velma (Danny Gascho), Dorothy (Andy Gascho), Susanna "Susie" (David Huber), sisters in law Lillian Kuepfer, Catherine Kuepfer and Doreen Klein. Predeceased by his son-in-law Robert Miller, siblings; Mary (Stanley Helmuth), Aaron Kuepfer (Ruth), Barbara McNab (Archie McNab & Leslie Nau), Joseph Kuepfer (Betty), Raymond Kuepfer, John Kuepfer (Kelsey), Martha (Bernhardt Schultz), William "Bill" Kuepfer, brothers and sisters-in-law; Amos Lebold, Elmer Lebold (Katie), Erven Lebold (Elsie & Edna), Edward Lebold (Marion), John Lebold (Erma), Alvin Lebold (Dorothy), Lloyd Lebold, Mary Ann (Harvey Leis), Barbara (Elmer Boshart), Frieda Lebold and Clara (Ken Roth). Levi will be fondly remembered by Amira Kuepfer and his many nieces and nephews.

    Relatives and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 7-9 p.m. and again Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 1-3 & 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Faith Mennonite Church, 1533 Chalmers Forrest Rd, Wellesley, at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church Cemetery, Millbank. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stratford Perth Rotary Hospice.

    KUEPFER, Jonathan

    Jonathan Kuepfer died early Friday, February 2nd, at his home in Brunner, in his 69th year. He was born in Minnesota, June 20th, 1893, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John J. Kuepfer, and had farmed in North Easthope and near Wellesley. He moved to Brunner four years ago. Mr. Kuepfer was a member of the Conservative Mennonite Church, Millbank. He is survived by his wife, the former Leona Follas; seven sons, Aaron, R.R. 2, Wellesley; Raymond and Levi, Newton; John, R.R. 3, New Hamburg; William, Milverton; Medvin and Henry, of R.R. 1, St. Agatha; seven daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Mary) Helmuth, Baden; Mrs. Leslie (Barbara) Nau, B.C.; Martha, Baden; Sarah, Velma, Dorothy and Susanna, at home; two brothers, Rudolph and Michael, Stratford, and 28 grandchildren. He was predeceased by one son, Joseph; two brothers, Joseph and Noah, and two sisters, Mrs. Peter (Katie) Steckley and Miss Mattie Kuepfer. The body rested at the family home in Brunner until Sunday at 1:00 p.m., when removal was made to the home of his son, Levi, at Newton, where a short service was held Monday at 1:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service at the Conservative Mennonite Church, Millbank, at 2:15 p.m. Bishop Valentine Nafziger officiated and burial was in the adjoining cemetery. The pallbearers were Ralph Gerber, of Crosshill; Roy Gerber, Samuel Lichty Jr., Daniel Lichty, all of R.R. 1, Linwood; Daniel Leis, of Millbank, and Allan Gascho, of R.R. 1, Milverton. Relatives and friends, who attended the funeral, came from Hutchinson, Kansas; Bluffton and Toledo, Ohio; Baden; St. Agatha; Stratford; New Hamburg and the surrounding district.

    Kuepfer, Jonathan, son of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Kuepfer, was born in Minnesota, June 20, 1893; died at his home in Brunner, Ont., Feb. 2, 1962; aged 68 y. 7 m. 13 d. He was married to Leona Follas, who survives. Also surviving are 7 sons (Aaron, Wellesley; Raymond and Levi, Newton; John, New Hamburg; Melvin and Henry, St. Agatha; and William, Milverton), 7 daughters (Mary-Mrs. Stanley Helmuth, Baden; Barbara-Mrs. Leslie Nau, British Columbia; Martha, Baden; Sarah, Velma, Dorothy, and Susannah, at home), and 2 brothers (Rudolph and Michael, Stratford). He was a member of the Conservative Mennonite Church at Millbank, where funeral services were conducted Feb. 5, in charge of Valentine Nafziger and Kenneth Brenneman.

    KUEPFER, Mrs. Jonathan

    NEWTON-Mrs. Jonathan Kuepfer, 64, of Newton, died Thursday at her home after a lengthy illness.
    The former Leona Jane Follas, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Follas and was born in Delphos, Ohio, June 22, 1902. She was predeceased by her husband Feb. 2, 1962. She lived in Newton for the last four years and was a member of the Conservative Mennonite Church, Millbank.
    She is survived by seven sons, Aaron of RR 2, Wellesley, Raymond, Levi and Alvin, all of Newton, John of RR 1, New Hamburg, William of Poole and Henry, RR 1, Brunner; seven daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Mary) Helmutt, and Mrs. Bernhardt (Martha) Schultz, both of Baden, Mrs. Lesly (Barbra) Nau of British Columbia, Mrs. Daniel (Velma) Gascho, RR 1, Milverton, Mrs. Andre (Dorothy) Gascho of Brunner and Sarah and Susana, both at home, two brothers, Joseph, Bluffton, Ohio and Orwell, Elfida, Ohio; 41 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. One son, Joseph, predeceased her in 1950.
    The body will be at the family resident in Newton after 8 p.m. today. A family service will be held at the home Monday at 1:30 p.m. A memorial service will follow at the Conservative Mennonite Church, Millbank, Monday at 2:30 p.m., conducted by Bishop Valentine Nafziger and Rev. Kenneth Brenneman. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
    Donations to the Conservative Mennonite Fellowship will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.
