    Leonard C. Ransom Passes

    Leonard C. Ransom died suddenly at the home of Mrs. Bessie Black, RR 3, Ayr, last Wednesday. He was in his 38th year. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Ransom of Herbert, Saskatchewan, he had resided in the Ayr district for the Past 31 years. He had worked at Vincent Farm Equipment until a short time ago. He was an avid curler and a long-time member of the Ayr Curling Club. Survivors include brothers William and Arthur and sister Rose; all of Saskatchewan; brother Charles and sister Mabel of British Columbia; and brothers Ernest of Flin Flon and Harold of Timmins. Funeral service was held from the William Kipp Funeral Home, Paris, on Saturday afternoon. Rev. D. Willis of Knox United Church, Ayr, conducted the service. Interment in Ayr Cemetery. Pallbearers were Warren Vincent, Ebin Ariss, Alden Cochrane, Jack Welsh, Leonard Fox and Lloyd Kaufman.
