After a long journey with Alzheimer's Disease, Joyce passed away at Winston Park Nursing Home, Kitchener, on Wednesday, November 16, 2005, formerly of Ayr; in her 79th year. Beloved wife of Robert; loved mother of Barbara Holmes (Eric) of Guelph, Pat Radke (Bryan), Anne Hutchinson (Dean), all of Ayr; cherished "Grandma Joyce" to Scott, David, Mark (Krystal), Paul (Dawn), Jamey (Mike), Grant, Brock, Sibley and Griffin; dear sister of Jim Davis (Mary) of Maple and sister-in-law of Audrey Davis of Guelph. Predeceased by her son Jimmy (1974) and a brother Curt Davis. Friends were received at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, Ayr on Saturday, November 19 from 2-4 p.m. A private family funeral service was held. Reverend Fred Hagle of Knox United Church, Ayr, officiated. Interment Ayr Cemetery. Thanks to the staff of Winston Park Nursing and Retirement Home who provided kindness and caring support of Joyce over the last few years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Carol Kopp who was a devoted friend throughout Joyce's illness.
