    Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, April 25, 2016 at the age of 50. Beloved mother of Greg and Caressa Smits. Loving daughter of Donna Rene and John. Dear sister of Cheryl (Tom), Lenny (Steph), Johnny, and Alicia. Sadly missed by her niece and nephew Riley and Joshua, and her aunts, uncles and friends.     PRESTON— Mrs. Nelson Gehman, 53, of 443 Hamilton St., Preston, died today at her residence. Mrs. Gehman was the former Ruth Marshall and was born in Preston. She lived here all her life and was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband, one son, David of Preston and two sisters, Jacquelin of Kitchener and Donna of Preston. The body is at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home where the funeral will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery. Rev. J. S Dauphine of St. Peter's Lutheran Church will officiate.

    Mrs. Julia Gehman - By Record Staff Writer - Preston - Mrs. Julia Gehman, 90, of 1226 Queen St., Preston, died Saturday at Coutts Pavilion, Freeport. She had resided here with her daughter, Mrs. Alberta Schoenfeld, for the last four years. Mrs. Gehman was the former Julia Miller and was born near Baden. She lived in Blair district for many years. She was a member of the Lutheran Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Amos Gehman in 1945 and by two sons, Clarence and Langdon. Surviving are four sons, Eldon of Blair, Lloyd of Galt, Stanley of Ayr and Nelson of Preston; one daughter, Mrs. Alberta Schoenfeld of Preston, 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at the Stager-Barthel Funeral Home today at 4 pm. Interment will be in Blair Cemetery. Rev. J.S. Dauphines of St. Peter's Lutheran Church will officiate.

    JOHN ALBERT MARSHALL

    PRESTON. Feb 9 - Well known Preston resident for more than 40 years. John Albert Marshall died suddenly at 3 o'clock this morning from a heart attack. In his 68th year, he was apparently in good health last night and his sudden passing came as a distinct shock to many friends in the community. Born in Doon, Mr. Marshall lived there until as a young man he came to Preston. For the past 40 years he had been employed with Clare Bros., as a machinist. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. His wife predeceased him seven years ago and he is survived by one daugher, Mrs. Nelson Gehman, Preston; one sister, Mrs. Oscar Thaler, Kitchener and a grand son, David Gehman, Preston. The remains will rest at Stager-Pass Funeral Home until Thursday at 4.30 p.m., than at the residence, 443 Hamilton Street, from where the, funeral will take place on Saturday, at 2.30 p.m. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
