    Frederick Watson

    PRESTON, March 28. Well-known Preston resident for nearly 30 years, during which time he was a shoe repairman, Frederick William Watson, 82, died in Kitchener yesterday, after an illness of a week and a half. Mr. Watson had been making his home in Kitchener for the past 18 months, previously residing with his son, Robert, of Preston. Born in Georgetown, he lived there during his early life, learning his trade as a Shoe repairman in that town. Prior to coming to Preston 30 years ago he resided for a time in Elmira. During his years of residence in Preston he conducted a shoe repair business until two years ago. Mr. Watson was keenly interested in sports, being an enthusiastic fan of local clubs. He was a member of the Baptist Church. His wife, Rebecca Liddell, predeceased him in 1941 and a sister, Mrs. William Campbell, Detroit, predeceased him three years ago. Surviving are three sons, John, Woodstock; Liddell, Brampton; Robert, Preston; three sisters, Mr. Brooks, Toronto; Mrs. Annie Winnfield, Georgetown; Muriel Watson, Toronto; a brother, Dr. Frank Watson, Georgetown. Seven grandchildren also survive. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Ltd., Funeral Home, Preston. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2: 30 with interment in the Preston Cemetery.

    MRS. FREDERICK W. WATSON

    PRESTON. Nov. 14---Ailing for some years, Mrs. Frederick William Watson, 62, a resident of Preston for many years, died in St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, today. She was born in Erin, Ont. Her maiden name was Rebecca Liddell. After her marriage the deceased lived in Elmira 10 years before moving to Preston. She attended Knox Presbyterian church, Preston. Surviving are her husband, three sons, Pte. Liddell Watson, 2nd division overseas, John and Robert Watson, both of Preston, a daughter, Mrs. William Campbell, Detroit, a sister, Mrs. Jacob Randall, Preston and a brother, George Liddell, Detroit. Six grandchildren also survive. Remains are at the Gordon Pass Funeral Home, 536 King street, Preston, where service will take place on Sunday, at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in the Preston cemetery.
