    Mrs. Joseph Spiegl

    PRESTON, July 27. Stricken suddenly with a heart attack, while on a holiday visit, with friends, in Essex, Ont, Mrs. Joseph. Spiegl, 20, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Weiler, Preston, died at 6 o'clock in her sleep, Monday morning. Word of her death came as a distinct shock to friends. Mrs. Spiegl apparently had been in good health and had left Friday night, with her husband to spend the weekend, with friends, Mr, and Mrs. Fred Berl, in Essex. They had proposed returning to their home in Preston yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Spiegl were married in Preston 13 months ago. Born in Formosa, Mrs. Spiegl came to Preston with her parents, when only several months old and resided here since that time. She received her education at St. Clernent's R.C. School and the Preston High School and was a member of St. Clement's R.C. Church. Surviving are her husband, a three month-old daughter, Janice Patrica; her parents; a brother, Roy Weiler and four sisters, Jacqueline, Marilyn, Nancy and Colleen Weiler, all at home. The body will rest at the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Weiler, 236, Church St North, until tomorrow morning, when the funeral will be held at St. Clement's R.C. Church, at 9: 30. Interment will be in the Preston R.C. cemetery.

    Nicholas C. Weiler

    PRESTON, Nicholas C. Weiler, 236 Church St. N., Preston, died Sunday, at South Waterloo Hospital, Galt. He was 64. Mr. Weiler was born at Formosa and had resided 40 years in Preston. He had been employed many years at James Gillies and Son, Ltd., from where he retired in 1967. He was a member of St. Clement's RC Church. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Gertrude Bildstein in 1966, by one son, Leroy in 1951 and by one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Patricia) Speigl of Kitchener, in 1950, and by one granddaughter, Janice Speigel, also of Kitchener. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Jacqueline) Kanmacher and Mrs. Donald (Nancy) Nicholls and Mrs. Stephen (Colleen) Mader, all of Preston and Mrs. William (Marilynn) Kieber of Amherst, N. S.; two sisters, Mrs. Linus (Helen) Poechman of Carlsruhe, and Sister Mary Primitive of Waterdown and 14 grandchildren. The body is at The Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, until Wednesday, when removal will be made to the church for service at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Clement's RC cemetery.
