Goodwin, Harold Douglas - Passed away peacefully, at his residence, with loved ones by his side, on Monday, April 15, 1996, 72 years of age. Harold retired in 1988 from BF Goodrich and served overseas with the Canadian Army during the Second World War, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 530, Waterloo. He was a former member of the K-W Oldtimers Hockey Association, and an avid fisherman. He was a faithful member of St. Agnes RC Church, Waterloo. Beloved husband and best friend of Theresa for 51 years. Dear father of Gary of Winnipeg, Man., Mona of Waterloo, Faith of Kitchener and Gloria of Kingston. Predeceased by one daughter, Dona, in 1982. At Harold's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place and a private family service has been held. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Victorian Order of Nurses may be made as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the Edward R. GOODWIN, Theresa (Terry) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry on July 27, 2011 with her daughter Mona at her side, at Grand River Hospital as the result of a stroke, in her 84th year. She has now joined her beloved husband Harold (1996) and their children Dona (1982) and Garry (2008). She is survived by her daughters, Gloria of Wolf Island, Faith (Martin) Mienstra of Kitchener and Mona of Waterloo. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her faithful four-legged companion, Sadie. She is also survived by two brothers, three sisters and their families. Dear friend of Shirley McLean of Winnipeg, Manitoba and second "mom" to Alda Drumond of Kitchener. She was a member of St. Agnes RC Church, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Spending time at her home and enjoying her gardens gave her great happiness. She will always be remembered for her incredible sense of humour and quick wit. The family would like to thank Dr. Wren and the fifth floor nursing staff for all their support and care during this very difficult time. We would also like to thank our friends and neighbours for their concern and compassion, and especially Brett, Patti, Laura and Michael Carey for taking such good care of Sadie while Mom was in the hospital. At Terry's request, there will be no visitation and cremation has taken place. A private family mass has been held and interment is at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo. Arrangements entrusted to Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo. "We can't feel saddened over the loss of those we love without first remembering the joy of loving them. The real sadness would have been never having them in our lives at all."

Hasenpflug who predeceased him in March 1976. Dear father of Floyd, Fred and Harold, all of Waterloo, Wayne of Elmira, Murray of Conestogo, Mrs. Fred (Dorothy) Schmidt of London, and Mrs. Clayton (Irene) Musselman of Kitchener. Eighteen grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren also survive. Brother of Clayton and Ervin, both of Kitchener, Ernest of Waterloo, and Mrs. Margaret Fries of Bridgeport. One son, one daughter, one sister and four brothers predeceased him. Friends called at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira until Saturday morning at 11 am, when removal was made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg, for funeral service at 2 pm. Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Heidelberg.

ELMIRA, Jan 17 - Mrs. Alice Goodwin, 75, formerly of Elmira, died yesterday at Hamilton after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of Gilllis Goodwin who died in 1913 near Glen Allan. She had been a resident of Glen Alan until her husband's death when she moved to Elmira. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Franklin of near Glen Allan and was a former member of Wesley United Church, Elmira.

Surviving are eight sons: Allen, Kitchener; William, Elmira; Fred, Waterloo; Harlie, Heidelberg; Clayton, Kitchener; Loman, Heidelberg; Ernie, Waterloo; and Irvin, Winterbourne; and one daughter, Mrs. Fred Fries of Bridgeport. One daughter predeceased her in 1947. She also is survived by three sisters, Mrs. John Klein, and Mrs. Herb Mawhinney, Elmira, and Mrs. Walter Fleet, Palmerston, and five brothers, James Franklin, Palmerston; John of Clifford; William, Elmira; Robert, Glen Allen, and Loman, Bridgeport. There are 58 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The body is resting at the Dreisinger Funeral Chapel where the funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 pm, Rev. W.M.B. Metcalfe will officiate. Interment will be made in the Elmira Cemetery.
