    GROFF, Frederick - Of 335 Regina St. N., Waterloo, on Friday, Sept. 7, 1979, at the K-W Hospital, after a lengthy illness, 81 years of age. A member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Husband of the former Caroline Gottschalk; father of Edgar, Eleanore (Mrs. Douglas Hamacher), Ruth (Mrs. Claude Krueger) all of Kitchener and Allan of Whitby; brother of Peter Ulmer and Mrs. Annie Bender, both of Kitchener. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Anni (nee Poier) and Phillip Groff; a sister Mary; brothers Andrew, William, Ludwig and Jacob. Also one granddaughter, Debra Groff. Visitation at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton St., Kitchener, after 7 p.m. this evening, until noon on Monday, when a transfer will be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Chapel for funeral services at 2: 30 p.m. Rev Arnold Conrad officiating. Interment Parkview cemetery, Waterloo.
