Colin Shackeiton

PRESTON, Colin E. Shackelton, 507 Queen St., Preston, died Friday, at South Waterloo Hospital, Galt. He was 77. Born at Union, Ont., near, St. Thomas, he came to Preston from Kitchener, in 1942. He had formerly lived in Hamilton. Mr. Shackelton had been a traveller in the shoe industry, for many years. He was a member of Hamilton Masonic Lodge No. 562 and a veteran of the First World War, when he served in the 116th Battalion. Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Robertson; one son, Robert of Burlington; one daughter, Mrs. James (Margaret) Lake of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.: one sister, Mrs. Fred ( Lillian ) Thackrey of Preston and six grandchildren. The body is at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, Preston, where the funeral service will be held Monday, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Parkiawn cemetery, Preston.
