Thomas Sandwell

PRESTON, Requiem mass for Thomas Sandwell, 333 Lowther St. S., who died Wednesday, at South Waterloo Hospital, Galt, at the age of 82, will be conducted Saturday, at 10 a.m., at St. Clement's RC Church. The body will be at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, until Saturday morning. Mr. Sandwell was born in Preston, Lancashire, England, and cage to Preston, 57 years ago. He owned and operated Sandwell's dry cleaning business, on King Street until his retirement in 1945. Later he was employed at the Preston Woodworking Co. He was a member of St. Clement's RC Church and the Holy Name Society. Surviving are his wife the former Adelaide Devine; two sons, Frank of California and James of Preston; three daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Mary) Langlade of Galt and Mrs. Gertrude Stoeser and Mrs. John (Helen) Zettner both of Sterling Heights, Mich.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The parish rosary will be recited at the funeral home tonight, at 9: 15. Interment will be in Preston, Park Lawn cemetery.
