Mrs. Thomas Sandwell

PRESTON, Mrs. Thomas Sandwell, 333 Lowther St., died at the Fredna Nursing Home, in Galt, Friday. She was 79. Mrs. Sandwell was born in Warwen, Lancashire, England and came to Preston, 57 years ago. Her husband predeceased her in October. She was a member of St. Clement's RC Church, where she belonged to the Catholic Women's League and the Altar Society. She is survived by two sons, Frank of California and James of Preston and three daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Mary) Langlade of Galt, Mrs. Gertrude Stoesser and Mrs. John (Helen) Zettner, both of Stirling Heights, Mich.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren . The body will be at the Stager-Barthel Funeral Home, until Monday morning, when removal will be made to St. Clement's RC Church for requiem mass, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Parklawn cemetery.
