    SHUTTLEWORTH, John "Jack"

    After a brief illness, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Monday, May 4, 1998, Jack Shuttleworth, in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Lorraine "Micky" McTearnen for 45 years; loving father of Ron and his wife Maggie, Linda and her husband Dave Cation, Brenda and her husband Mike Hubert, Jim and his wife Pam. Will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Cassie, James, Stefanie, Tracy, Chris, Jaime, Jason, Michael, Lori, Stacy, Sean, Daniel, Jessica and Tommy and by his great-granddaughters, Jessie and Paige; cherished son-in-law of Katherine McTearnen. Survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bob and Inge McTearnen, Bill and Rita McTearnen, Pat McTearnen and Brenda McTearnen. Predeceased by his parents, Martin Shuttleworth (1958) and by his mother, Cecilia Tippin (1987). Jack was retired from the Waterloo Regional Police Force, where he worked for 28 years and was known worldwide as the policeman in hip high water in the 1974 flood in Cambridge. Cremation has Taken Place. Respecting Jack's wishes there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Waterloo Regional Police Association and Recreational Centre (Highway No. 97 and Blenheim Road) on Friday, May 8, 1998, at 2: 30 p.m.
