We never know when those closest to us will no longer be there to share in our lives. David Zemek, 26, left our lives, May 3. Those who knew David always saw a positive, carefree person. He always looked for the positive in any difficult situation. Keeping his philosophy alive, he would want us to find a message in his death...to lean on friends and family first, before doing anything rash. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge (tonight) Friday, May 5, 1995, from 6-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Bill Gallagher at St. John's On The Hill United Church, 241 Cedar St., Cambridge Saturday, May 6, 1995, at 1 o'clock. Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery, Cambridge.

ZEMEK, Joseph C.

Joseph Zemek was born July 25, 1926, in Vlcnov, Czechoslovakia and immigrated to Canada, as a young man. He married Shirley L. Hass who predeceased him in January 1985. He retired from Clare Bros., in Cambridge. He is survived by three children, David who shared the home with him, Joe-Anne Burt of Aurora and Beverly Zemek of Elk Grove, Calif. and one grandchild, Kristina L. Burt. Cremation has taken place. A memorial graveside service will be held on Friday, July 9, 1993, at 2.30 p.m., at Parklawn Cemetery, Section, 9A.
