FARR, Russell

Peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, at the age of 62 years, of Elmira. Devoted husband of Sharon (McAllister) Farr. Loving father of Darren and Jillian of Barrie and Charlene of Waterloo. Grandpa of Derek, Kelsea, Brayden, Charlotte, Emilie, Spenser and great-grandpa of Caleb. Dear son of Marion (Collins) Farr of Elmira and the late Ken Farr (2000). Brother of Marilyn and Don McIntosh of Drayton, Jerry of Woodstock, Wayne and Barb of Kelowna, BC, Larry and Renee of Elmira, Debbie of Elmira, Cheryl and Ed of Cambridge and Tom of Elmira. Son-in-law of Don and Bessie McAllister of Elmira. Brother-in-law of Ron McAllister of Mabel Lake, BC. Russ is lovingly remembered by Marg Farr and his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his sister Colleen (1975) and his sister-in-law Dawn (2005). At Russ's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation for family and friends will be held at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Tuesday, December 13th, from 2-5 p.m., followed later that evening by a Legion Service at 6: 45 p.m., at The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 469, 11 First St. E., Elmira, followed by a reception.

Peacefully, on Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Ken Farr. age 78 years, of Elmira. Beloved husband of Marion (Collins) Farr for 57 years; loving father of Marilyn and Don McIntosh of Drayton, Jerry and Marg of Stittsville, Wayne and Barb of Kelowna, B.C., Russell and Sharon of Elmira, Larry and Dawn of Elmira, Debbie Farr and Jim of Elmira, Cheryl Farr of Kitchener, Torn and Liz of Waterloo: fondly remembered by his 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Brother of Audrey MacDonald of Hamilton. Predeceased by his parents, Norman and Jessie Farr: daughter, Colleen: two brothers, Gerald and Gordon. Ken was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 469, Elmira, he was involved in the Standardbred race horse industry and for many years was involved with many aspects of local hockey. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, today (Friday), 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m., Saturday, transfer will be made to Trinity United Church, Elmira, for funeral service at 11 a.m., with The Rev. J. D. Kellough officiating, followed by interment in Elmira Union Cemetery.

FARR, Marion Grace Passed away peacefully, on Sunday, July 8, 2012, at KW Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, in her 89th year. Marion (Collins) Farr was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Farr (2000). Loved mother of Marilyn (Don) McIntosh of Drayton, Jerry (Brenda) of Woodstock, Wayne (Barb) of Kelowna, BC, Larry (Renee) of Elmira, Debbie Farr of Elmira, Cheryl (Ed) Martin of Cambridge, and Tom of Waterloo; and mother-in-law of Sharon Farr of Elmira and Marg Farr of Stittsville. Dear grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Also lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law, Audrey MacDonald and her family. She was predeceased by her parents Margaret and Lionel Collins, brother Frederick, son Russell (2010), daughter Colleen (1975) and daughter-in-law Dawn (2005). Marion Farr was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Elmira Branch #469. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 1-4 p.m. Interment will follow at 4: 30 p.m., in the Elmira Union Cemetery.
